Well done Jean, talk about "waste not, want not"! I
keep things for years as well.I've got a little pot
that has some teeth in, but now I can't be sure
whether they belonged to one of my boys, or the dog
we had at the time!! *4U
I had to chuckle about the teeth Pat. Yes, they say if you keep something long enough you'll find a use for it. Don't knowe about the teeth tho'!!
I have envelopes with my children's first teeth and the date they came out...now if we could put our heads together maybe we could come up with a unique idea...yuck !!!
Oh - come on - why don't you make a pretty little bag for them and put them in your scrapbook?
Lovely Elenu. Where do you find the buckles. This one is particularly nice.
Sqdancer explains this very well Jasanne. Her description is spot on. The buckles I am using came from belts I wore in the 60's & imagined I was the 'bees knees' I am amazed, but the original elastic hasn't perished . . I wonder to what use I can put that to? :-) :-)
Elenu our square dance belts still have these buckles, the belt is usually colored elastic about 3" wide and matches the color of our outfits...you have definitely come up with a unique idea to use up these buckles and strapping...*4U
Your description is very exact Sqdancer. I still have more!! They were all bagged up, in the loft, not seeing daylight for years but are now, once again, coming in useful.
You are so clever and creative. I would never have thought of that. * 4u
r u like me elenu, never throw anything out? My daughter fusses at me about throwing things away or being a "pack rat" but sooner or later I figure out something to do with it. Looks nice *4U
I think we should get our heads together Ibrow & figure out what to do with Ron111otter's saved teeth . . . . . whether they be human or canine! :-) :-)
you do good girl, I would love to see your craft room, I bet it has collectables of all kinds. Love this.
The attic has the honour of housing the collctables Pafhen. I think the local charity shop will benefit from this 'resurgence' so I'm happy that I found another use for them.
