Can you embellish the flower with maybe a button or bit of lace or ribbon? But, stuff seems to happen when you don't have a reserve, like dropping the last egg, bending the last needle, or my personal un-favorite-- running out of bobbin thread when you only need about six inches more

I know what you mean, that is how I learned to decorate, buy covering up mistakes. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my cover ups.

I know the feeling. But remember it's probably more obvious to you then anyone else.
Sometimes I use a tiny zig-zag stitch to fill in spots. And the other suggestions listed are real useful. It depends on how off the design is as to how to make it work.

I tell everyone that I did it on purpose so that I can practice humility. It gets alot of laughs anyway. As stated before, you are probably the only one to notice it. Could yu add a flower bud or something to the design to make it look more centered?

I have found that only the creater (you) can see the mistake. If you say nothing no one will notice anything... just enjoy your creation...I am sure it looks just fine. Suzanne
Can you do some hand embroidery to fill it in and fix it? Or, maybe a fabric marker?
