Beautiful! This was the verse that was on our wedding invitations almost 30 yrs ago.
What a great idea and poem. I may just have to use this . thanks
das sieht sehr elegant aus, wunderschön, ich wünsche deiner Nicht weiterhin viel Glück mit ihrer große Liebe :-))
This is truly lovely. The verse is one I think we all can relate to and I love the elegance of the scroll work. hugs n roses, Meganne
Found the font, or pretty close. My niece went the extra mile for you. Fine Hand Plain Finer. Page 40
This is in a bit different form - but you will see - it is used often - in various ways
thanks - I got it here:
sewmom says this isn't that same & she is right - but it looks good - I recreated the whole thing and I am happy with it.
The font is FNR in the Wedgewood font selection for the wedding invitation. This link takes you to the pdf of the fonts. That's all the information they had.
This is wonderful and will be meaningful all their lives!!!
Nice sentiment. I think I found mice ears. I can't find the whole mouse. I must be blind. Ha, ha, three blind mice???
So cute and beautifully sewn. Love the tiny mouse heads. Sarah.
I think the mice have left the building...great work though!
They are just the heads and you can see them better if you click on the picture to make it better. They are supposed to be hidden, like a game : )
Are these the things that look like hearts? If so I can see them but thought they were hearts!
Can't say I found any mice, but the design looks great. A beautiful keepsake for them.
I googled the Designs Newsletter February 2009 and found the scroll designs...I hope link works below..Sewmom, this is lovely...will you put a picture of the couple in the box above their names?
Thank you, finding them wasn't the problem. The links don't work. I put them in comments here so people can cut and paste the url. That works, I tried it.
Upper scroll url to cut and paste.

I'm going to try and put the lower scroll url here so you can cut and paste.

It is very nice work - I was able to find the scroll next to their names - but not the scroll at the bottom. This is lovely.
Font is #30 in my PE design version 5.61. I know that doesn't help much. I matched the font that was in their invitation. Names and date are .39 inch and quote is .25 inch.
Could you find out what the name of the font is - on the invitation - the bride usually knows.
I put 3 little dots/spots together and made it into it's own design file then I edited them into the design.
My direct links did not work. The lower one is from Designs in Machine Embroidery, Design Plus newsletter Feb 2009. The upper one is from Silver Threads Dec 2010 at Oregon Patchworks. You can try to find them yourself.
For those that want to copy this I need to say that I did not make the scroll designs. They are freebies from the internet. I added the mice myself. I can put the links here but please don't copy the scrolls to digitize yourself.
The quote is one that is often used in wedding invitations
(although I'm not sure if "magic" was added by them personally.) So I don't think there is an author to credit.
Beautiful. My daughter has a wedding to go to in August. Would you mind if I made one like this for her to give as a gift. Hugs Lynn
Think it is super, wonder if you mind if I do something like it for my grandson.
Love the words and makes it very very special
Absolutly stunning! Such a sweet sweet keepsake! Great job!!!
It brougght tears to my eyes, too. You did a wonderful job, sewmom.
I wish for a lifetime of happiness for the couple.
Hugs,
Jacqueline
They're well hidden, ok...I can't find them! But then I never have been good at that! I know they are hidden all over Disney World, but if my grands didn't find them for me, I never would! Only one I found was that black & white cow (a live one) that had Mickey's head in black hair on it's side!! But you did a great job of this!!
Sewmom......This is awesome.....I love it, and thanks for sharing....glad you mentioned the mice I would have missed them...well hidden, I must say, very well done!!!!
