did so much research but still confused..what does Brother PED-Basic Embroidery Sewing Machine Software do?

Brother tells you to download the software from the website, and not to use the cd that came with the card device. Here is the page to find the right copy for you, I have it on my work computer so I can view pes files-all it shows. Then you can see what the software part does. It is the most basic of ways to get your design (pes) onto a card (included with writer box) and that goes into the machine. I had gotten mine to use with a small Brother machine, and still use it with my Ellegante.

I have this for my original brother PE-150.
Its a basic transfer card for you.. You can also view your designs on it.. i thought its a great item
and for my earlier brother machines a weel worth device to have.

Ped Basic will work for you. It does not resize at all, for that wilcom E2 or another prgram will be necessary. It can display image and info (colors, size and stitches). It can also print. The only drawback is there is no save so if your machine shuts down you lose the order of your designs, which can be difficult (once on the machine) to determine if similar designs are in a row. It is user friendly. Have Fun!

I've got 1.0 and that resizes from 90% to 120%.

PED-basic is card writing software that comes with a reader/writer box and a blank card. The only 'editing' it can do is resize by up to 10%. Any real editing has to be done in other software.

I have this software. It allows you to transfer designs from your computer to a memory card. It also allows you to view your designs. You can print out designs, check colors and check on design size. Hope this helps you. Susan

I don't have that one but it looks like it does minimal editing. You can read embroidery from cards and see them in the software. You can put designs onto the card to bring to your machine if your machine needs cards. It says it does editing but it doesn't say to what extent. You can see pes or pen format design in them.

i just want to be able to download some designs on this website and put it into the machine x)
