This is a card I stitched up for my sister. She loves flowers, especially sunflowers. I also encluded the heart. I do believe I got the floral design from annthegran. I stitched directly on cardstock that was sprayed with spray adhesive to a light tear away stabilizer... I trimmed the stabilizer to the edges and kept on the back for a neater look. It only had 4,510 stitches and 3 color changes because I used varigated green for both greens.

Such a beautiful job. I have got to get into this. Went as far as going out to buy card stock, but only looked, for did not know what I would need. The heart is so cute too. She could use as bookmark, or even wear.

Very nice, I like simple designs on cards, makes stitching them out so much easier. This one's very effective.

Thank you. I just used regular card stock - 67pound and sprayed one layer light weight tear away to back with spray adhesive. I kept the whole back covered with the tear away (did not remove it) to help keep stitching nice and flat. *4U ><>

very nice, love the heart. I have been trying to stitch a card for 25th anniv. but I get about 10 stitches and the top thread breaks, do you have to adjust the tension or have a special needle?

joaniessw by joaniessw 16 May 2008

I have never adjusted my tensions and cannot for some reason adjust speed when simplyrosie.....Thank you. It is good to be back again. Limited times. I have managed to get a couple projects done too PTL. Will e-mail you again soon. My avatar now is actually an emb design I picked up from embroideryfriend or emboideryisfree. *4U ><> mlbell......Thank you. I embroider with my hoop (you could try that). And, I always use a new (or fairly new) "embroidery" needle. With this heart I used dble layer H2O Gone WSS. *4U ><>
