couple of suggestions maybe you have already these. Change needle and maybe try a different stabilizer. this was a problem I had this solved it for me. Just a suggestion.

I will try the floss. I would be running through the thread guides, right? That's where the problem is.
It does sound like you have some tiny thread caught up in the upper tension - best to get it service unless you are game for taking your machine about and using a fine tooth comb to get it out - those service people have much better eyes and use of their hands than I do. Good luck.
You can always try to use your machine - but you might have alot of broken threads and stop and starts - just to warn you before you start.
that was my thought too. Broken threads. I looked at it, as far as I could see. I was afraid to take anything apart because it is a computer. Thank you for your input.
