They probably fix regular sewing machines as well as embroidery machines. It's going to feel like a long two weeks. Sending a prayer they get to it sooner for you!

Judy, it is never easy to be without your machine - for a day or 2 weeks or more. I once called - my repairman - just to see how long it might be - for him to look over my machine - he told me that no matter when I brought it in - it would always be a week before I got it back - I wanted to ask him to pretend I brought it in - I would then stop by next week - with my machine and he could fix it on the spot for me and I would take it home - Hehehe! That would be like having an appointment for repair - I think I could handle that - as I would still have the use of my machine in the mean time.
When I take my machine in, they have a truck that comes through once a week, picks up the machines and takes them to a shop in another area for repair. The following week, they bring back a load and pick up another load. These newfangled computerized gadgets do not have very many repair people. Most sewing machine repairmen cannot repair the computerized versions.
I know that the person who services the Brother machines at the dealer I use has attended training courses as the certificates for each series of machines covered is there for all to see.
