This is lovely. I am just now going to give it a try. BUT. Why do I need two layers of fabric on the last step? Trimming and serging are not mentioned. Will this be self-evident?
so cute i love it . thank u much of u smile of u dont forget your smile
Hi
Thank you for sharing. May I ask how big do I need to buy the zip? And is it just a normal zipper?
Cheers
Get a zipper a bit longer than you need,in the picture you can see how the ends hang off ,and it must be a Nylon zipper. No metal!
Super design but please help me as I seem unable to open it once downloaded. I am using pes????
I'm not sure. I just downloaded it and opened it in my software and it seems fine. It shouldn't be too big, it's 3.87 x 3.47 inches. I'm sure I converted it as a version 4.0 so I'm stumped. Send me a private message with your email and I will send it to you in an even lower format for you to try.
Hi, I just checked mine, and this one in pes comes up 'unexpected file format' and I can't change it in my palette 8 database or wilcom. I downloaded the hus and was able to change it to pes...but both the hus and jef seem to be about 5x5, not 4x4 ??? The other listing for the 5x7 opened just fine. Thanks to both of you for the cute design and conversions!
Hi gillenmerson and annsown I only have pes lite, so a very basic program and I had no problem originally or just now to dowmload and open. I have also made one up a little while ago and it was so cute and easy. Thanks again to Lee-Anne for the patterns and Sewmom for converting! :)
This is just so great Lee. I take mine everywhere as I drink Rooibos tea and no-one ever has it at church functions etc.
Ooh! I forgot to say though that darling Meg has bought a box so that when I visit I can have my cup of tea he he he!
Love Chris
Thank you for doing this one in a 4x4 also! I couldn't have thought of a better gift for the holidays!
Oh, I love this design. As a collector of teapots and cups, this was made for me! Thank you!
Thank you for the detailed photos. You have given me the courage to try my first zippered ITH project. I can't wait to fire up the machine today.
This is so perfect thanks and I am glad that you are back and feeling better.
Thanks! Your instructional pictures are great!! As they say, "a picture is worth a 1000 words," & most people are visual learners!
Thankyou Lee. Just sat down for a cuppa and found this lovely design. You do spoil us :)
Thank you for this design and for the excellent photos and instructions. This is such a brilliant idea and a lovely gift for workshop and quilting group friends.
