Congratulations! Make lots of test stitches of different settings and keep them, making notes of the settings. It may take time at first, but it really is the quickest way to get good results and it gives you a handy reference.

However, at the moment I am without my machine (remember it went in for repair after locking up) so it's all theory for now.

Ooooo... I already know what you mean, but I'm sticking to it.
Messed up my first attempt, didn't even leave the drawing board, just got lost with layers etc., so starting from the beginning again. :)
