We've been watching it. After the second part shows they start over with part 1. But than they keep showing part 1 over and over until midnight before they show part 2 again. So if I miss it I have to stay up until 2 just to watch that part!!! Don't get why. Oh well
So nice to meet you. We watched the mini series (ALL 3 nights) and LOVED it!! Very interesting. Would love to know the whole and true story. Is there someplace to find it?
Doggone it! I missed the start last night...hopefully it will be on demand..... Will watch the rest.
We saw the live outdoor drama Hatfields and McCoys in West Virginia last year. It was one of the best outdoor dramas we have ever seen... The story is very interesting!
Happy to "meet" a Hatfield! :) Never met one before.. or a McCoy for that matter.

I JUST married into the Hatfields - my ex used to tell people I was a Mccoy! They are showing the first part over and probably will show it and part two over again too. Lots of shooting and blood and guts.
My ex husband was from Kentucky and we went once to the are where this people used to live...it will be good to see that story!!!***
I've heard lots about them. I think even on the "Hillbillies", granny and the others mention them a few times. Hear the song many times (just not recently).
Saw the advertisement for the mini series - want to watch it - yah!
We seem to mostly hear about bikie gangs feuding here of late :( But there was a character named Bob Hatfield in one of our long-running TV drama series. Wonder if they got his name from yours...
I've heard of the Hatfields and McCoys too way over here in Australia. Can't wait to see the new mini-series. I too have only heard that they were a coule of feuding families way back in America's history near the end of the Civil War. Love Chris
Well my Grandmother was a MCCoy and her mother was Hulda Jane McCoy. Her father was Robert(Bob) MocCoy and they were out of West Virginia and North Carolina. Yes they were some of the feuding bunch. but the stories grandmother told me were not near as bad as the books and movies. She said a lot of it had been made up to make it seem worse than it really was. So don't believe everything you see and hear./Lillian
Jan, I have heard of the Hatfields and McCoys all my life - what a story. I look forward to watching the series, too.
I don't have family from either.
I had to read this post to my hubby, cause it is so Cute! No feuds here! haha! what channel is it on? thanks
here in Australia I have only heard of a song with "the hatfields and McCoys' by Waylon Jennings...hehehe....and I loved it.
I'm not a Hatfield or McCoy but we have been waiting for over a month for this mini-series to start. Hugs..Carol
Wow! You're a piece of history! I'm not a Hatfield, but have you seen the hillbilly designs at Sew Weird? Love them! Reminds me of my father's family from Appalachia.
I was just watching the commercial on the the program, it really sounds interesting. Must be exciting for you and your family to see this about your heritage.
Not sure if there are any relations or not. Been working on our family tree off and on for several years and I keep finding all sorts of names on the branches. So far the only famous name I have found is Daniel Boone, I'll keep looking - maybe we will be related. lol No feud here. :)
Looking forward to it as well. That's neat that your family is related.
LOL, Jan.....I am recording this mini so I can watch it all the way through, I want to understand what it was all about.....looks good!!
