You've received some very good advice from other ladies who have suffered the same disaster as you have. Please don't take a chance and throw the thread away.

I am sorry for your losses, but I would not keep the thread. It is most probably contaminated and can cause a lot of illness that you don't want. Please be patient and kind to yourselves. I hope you find a lovely house soon. Lovies and prayers to you and your family in this time.****

I am so sorry about this, hope your insurance help you out! It is not fair you still waiting for the insurance comp. they are so WWWWAAA"""""@@@@@ when you are behind payment they inmediately send you a notice of cancellation, but when you need them they are no way to be found, I had to deal with that many years ago, when Hurricane Andrew, we lost everything including my sewing machine I tried to save it oiling it right way, but it was not good at all, i had to throw everything too, time heals, you will recovery from this. God be with you.

By all means... throw it away! Anything in a flood has so many contaminates in it. It could very well make you really sick...... and use rubber gloves when you are sorting through it! We want you well!

I know it is hard....so sorry... and like I said before....I can only imagine.

God bless!

Hi Lucy
I answered this in your previous post but here it goes again because it is important. You must get rid of ALL stuff in your basement. It is contaminated beyond your comprehension. It is vile and can cause illness. So not to make matters worse
assume all down there is a loss to include in your loss statement to insurance company.
I am sorry to bear bad news but your health is way more important. This is going to be a long process of recuperation so hang in there and please don't do
to much and stay safe.
Hugs

When in doubt, toss it out. It's an old English saying about food mostly due to bacteria and such. I know you are seeing more money down the drain but it just isn't worth getting sick over. Good luck finding a place to live. Hugs, Debra

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hang in there, the Lord will find a way for you. Sorry, but I, like the others, would toss the thread. You have enough problems without getting sick from the bacteria. Hugs to you.

I am with the other girls, throw it out. My mum and dad lost their house in a flood last year and they had to throw out so much because of the contamination. My brother saved a scrap album I had done, all the pages had to be sealed and he sent them to me so I could redo the album. When I am finished I have to destroy them.

Personally I don't think the risk of disease would be worth it. The thread would take a long time to dry right through to the middle of the spool. I don't like wasting anything either but maybe this time you will have to toss the thread. Hugs Marg
