I feel for you...I had a Janome 11000SE...brand new. It went back to the Janome Factory 3 times and they replaced it with a new machine...struggled with it for about 10 months...finally dealer refunded my money and I bought a Baby Lock Ellisimo...BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME! My girlfriend also had exact same problem and she also got a refund. I think Janome has a manufacturing problem with this machine...Good Luck!
Depends upon how old it is...if it's new...take it back for a refund if you can...if not, have your dealer send it back to Janome for repairs. Can't guarantee this will work, but you must pursue this BEFORE your warranty is up! It's a pain, but a MUST DO in my opinion. It it is under warranty (within one year) you should not have to pay anything...including return postage to Janome. At least that is how it worked for me. My dealer happened to also be a Baby Lock dealer, so I just applied the refund for the 11000SE to the Ellisimo and paid the difference. Good Luck. I believe that the 11000SE is just a LEMON and Janome knows it! Don't let the dealer talk you into the new Horizon as a replacement either!
I wish you luck. I have a Janome 11000 updated to the 11000e. I had nothing but trouble tension wise plus other problems. I had it to 2 Tech guys also Janmome tech guy to no avail. Took it to another guy 3 hours drive away and it now sews the best it ever has. We pay a lot of money for these machines and should not have all these problems. Shirley
The tech you have paid should fix it for you, as you've paid for the service. I've recently changed service tech's because the one I've used for years takes forever and his work seems to have gone way down. I'm much happier with the new tech, who asks for a sample of the thread and fabric I regularly use on my machine so they get it right. It's worth shopping around.
take it back to your repair man , you should have a 1 month warrenty after a service
Do you use a bobbin thread that is a different brand than comes with the machine? If so, it might throw your tension off. Take it in and have them experiment with it till they get it right. I totally understand the frustration!!
I made sure that it was a repairman approved bobbin..LOL.. I just bought 2 new bobbin cases. I will throw out the old ones that I have even though one of them is brand new.. I may look at a babylock tomorrow..
never ever take a machine from the shop without trying it out in front of the fixer my repair man told me this lol hugs
My husband picked it up. They did have the sample stitch. It stitched out a design but I was not able to sew the purse together. I used my serger to finish it..
A "good repairman" always tests the machine before giving it back and should have a sample of the stitching still under the foot. I would take it back to have them test stitch it and would never go back if I could find a better shop.
Isn't that frustrating! I hate to take my machines to the repair man. They change so much and it seems I am never satisfied when I get them back. I have one machine with alot of fancy stitches on it, well it wasn't working right. So I took it in, $90 later I picked it up. The straight stitch is fine but the fancy stitches are still messed up. The fancy stitches are all I want to use on this machine.
My girlfriend also had all bobin thread coming up on her embroidery machine. She took to a brother repairman and he charged her 100.00...Still the same. She ask me to come look at it and see if I could do anything with it...I went into the bobbin case took it out checked to see if she had dust or whatever in there...I cleaned it out and was putting the black bobbin holder in when I notice a very small string caught in it. Was hard but got the string out and then put it back together. Worked beautiful after that. Check and see if any thread is there...look real close cause I missed it 3 times of putting all back together.
Hugs Joann
Try changing the thread to a different brand. My Janome 10001, and Coverpro hate Threadart's all purpose thread and I get the same problems. All runs well with better brands of thread. I can use the Threadart thread on my 6500 without any problems.
I have Madiera thread. I never had a problem before. I put a new needle in a JAnome needle, janome prewound bobbin. I am going to take it to someone else next time..
Take it back immediately. Seems like they didn't fix it. Put the tension back to what it was. When you pick it up next time, make sure that it all works. Good Luck.
Re: Zigzag stitch if you mean embroidery satin stitch then you should only see the bobbin thread in the middle and top thread on each side on the back side of the satin stitching.
1/3 top on one side 1/3 bobbin thread in the middle and 1/3 top thread on the other side.
Take it back if it is not working to your satisfaction as presumably you have had to pay for the 'repair' and dont touch it so they cant say you caused the problem. Let us know what happens
