No machines to sell on ebay but sold some auction stuff from celebrities on ebay. I haven't run into any problems from there.
It's been 7 yrs. now but I sold my Bernina back then on Ebay to a lady who lived in New York. She looked at the pictures, called sent mne a certified check and then I shipped it to her. She was very happy with her new machine. I got what I paid for it at the time/Lillian
I tried to sell a machine on craigslist locally. Had two people reply. But ended up being scammers. However, my husband sold a few items successfully.
I sold my brother cover stitch and my pr650 on eBay and was very happy with the sales. I would recommended it to anyone especially if you put your item for collection in person.
I don't sell on either...but I had a Singer Industrial machine and since I don't do heavy alterations/sewing anymore I wanted to sell it. I printed up brochures with pictures and took it to all the sewing/alteration/cleaners and sold it in two weeks.

I have never sold on ebay but have sold some articles on Craigslist. Not expensive machines but craft books and supplies. On Craigslist be prepared for the scammers. There were also a few crazies that kind of scared me that contacted me. I think ebay would be the best bet.
