Never call it a mistake. You know nobody else will. Looks so pretty.Stella
My Father always said, its not how good you can make something, its how good your can cover up your misstakes. Job well done.
As others have said, the project turned out really well, so no harm in having had some 'thinking time'! I'm sure you achieved a few other completed projects during that 2 years :) Welcome to Cute :) Are you a Psychic, may I ask, or is your Avatar name a play on what the regular mother needs to know to complete each day? :)
If you don't tell, no one will ever know this is not what it was originally intended to be. Beautiful project.
Donna
Thank you to everyone for the wonderful comments and the welcome to the family! I am excited to be here and plan on staying for awhile.
That is wonderful and thank you for sharing your picture with us - what a lovely lady you are - where are you from - if you care to let us know? I live in Riverdale, Utah USA
I am now in So. California. Most of the time we live full time in our bus conversion and travel, usually back and forth from California to Arizona. Yes, my two sewing machines are always out except for when we are on the road. lol
I too think you've made a great save. Never would have know it was a mistake had you not told us.
You would never know that it wasn't meant to be used this way. Excellent save.
You know capoodle, I think you are right. Now I can't imagine any other way for this to have been completed. Thank you!
I love it!! I would like to know where the designs came from, Wow what a save!! Hugs Diamond
My brother program allows me to take a photo and digitize a pattern from the photo. It is call photostitch. The design has many layers starting from the lightest color to the darkest. Each photo design took like 90 minutes each and I was about a half hour from finishing the embroidery (which I was going to frame) when my machine died. I printed the photos on the photo material to make the wall hanging, but it cannot be washed. Told my son to get a paint brush to dust it. Guess what? He does!
You came up with a beautiful end piece. I just love it. Thanx for sharing...
Great save! Now this will probably be your favorite piece!!
You did a wonderful job of completing your project! Congratulations.
It looks beautiful and a real work of art. Congratulations on your solution. It worked extremely well.***
Ah, gorgeous! Sometimes things just have to percolate in the brain.
just love this any idea where the designs are from?
The designs used to be photographs of my granddaughter Ella. I digitized them for a special Father's day gift for my son. The design that got messed up was going to be a photo of him at two years old. But alas, now it is converted to a photo of him holding his baby on the day she was born.
Great save. Any father would love to have this gift.
My son loves it and Ella likes to look at the pictures and point out her daddy and Ella. lol
It is now a treasure to keep in the family forever. Great save!
A great piece of work has appeared from a problem. I know I 'sit' on pieces for a while thinking of the way forward. Welcome to Cute
Good thinking what a great save. I love it . Well done Hugs Joyce
How very sweet it turned out - now it will have newer pictures and everyone will say - isn't the presious and no one needs to know - there was ever any trouble with it 2 years ago. So special.
Wow... that turned out really well.
As already said ... a truly wonderful keepsake.
Well after two years you sure have done a great job on this one. If you had not said anything I would never have guessed you had messed up. Great work Shirley
Thank you, now my son finally has what was going to be his father's day gift for a Christmas gift. lol
Sometimes mistakes turn out to be a good thing. They challange us and what you have done is just wonderfull. What a wonderfull keepsake. Great job.
Yes, mistakes can be a good thing, but so very frustrating! I just wonder why it took me two years to figure out what to do???
