I htink bothe
owls are beautiful . I think your GD is a lucky girl I bet she will want both. Hugs Joyce.
Thanks Shirlene, I liked the fabric as well. She hasn't seen it yet, but am sure she will take both. The day for them to leave is getting closer (28th) and I am finding it harder as it gets closer. We have always lived so close to each other. I am only grateful that I am retired and can go and visit for more than a day or two.
I know it will be hard - when they move - but that will get you out and about more and you will be down visiting them often which in turn will be happy trips.
Jerri, it is adorable - as I knew it would be - I am sure - if you say she can also have this one - she will take it as well. Whoooooo wouldn't want him? I like the fabric you used for the wings, too.
oh i love the fabric it is too cute the owl is a hoot way to go Jerri Hugs Loralye
Thank you Loralye. I thought the fabric was cute as well. It was very hard to match both sides as the fur was so slippery, but it didn't turn out too bad
you have beautiful granddaughter you pillow looks great
Thank you. She truly has a good head on her shoulders and is very mature for her age. Its going to be a big change from living in Canada to the USA. I just hope her schooling will continue to be an A student. Time will tell.
I liked the previous owl pillow and this one is beautiful, they complement each other. I think that your granddaughter will be thrilled to have this one as well.
Hugs, Lidia
Thank you, they didn't turn out to bad for a made up pattern. Meganne's eyes are awesome. Can't wait for her to share them with you all and see what others come up with.
Both of the pillows are darling. The eyes are awesome looking. Your granddaughter is pretty in her gown. Hard to believe she is almost 16.
Thank you. Meganne did a fantastic job on the eyes. Yes she will be 16 soon. I had diamond stud earrings made for both my Granddaugthers from both my Mother's and my wedding rings. I am divorced so thought this would be something to give them on their 16th birthdays. I had a signet ring made for my Grandson who is 11 and he will get his for his 16th birthday as well. This way all 3 has a keepsake from both their Grandma (me) and Great Grandma (she passed away 14 yrs ago and I know she would love to know what I did with the jewellry. I have my Great Grandma's wedding ring and it has been passed down through 5 generations. This Granddaughter will be the 6th. It is to go to the first girl born into the family on their 21st birthday.
Yes the earrings are in safe keeping for their 16th. I had a signet ring with a diamond made for my Grandson (11) that he too will receive for his 16th. All made from the gold and diamonds from my Mom and my rings.
This is a picture of my Granddaughter that I made the pillows for. She is turning 16 in August and moving to Seattle at the end of this month. She went to a Sweet 16 party for one of her friends and it was formal. I am heart broken, but will be able to visit often. Seattle is about 2.5 hrs from where I live and now that I am retired, I can go visit and stay for a while.
Thank you. I think she is and she is beautiful inside as well. She has a heart of gold and is well liked by all her school friends. They are all commenting on how much they will miss her when she moves to Seattle.
What a stunning GD you have Jerri - I can see that she would be missed by her friends as well as you - hope you do visit often.
Thank you Shirlene. I was in the birthing room when she was born and have held her in my heart ever since. I am blessed to have 3 beautiful Grandkids. They truly are the lights of my life.
