Here is my easy tip for scallop template to fit any size:
Cut a paper strip the exact size of the fabric edge.
Fold strip up evenly to make as many scallops as you wish eg, 3 or 5 or8.
Using some rounded object draw a curve and cut the folded paper.
Open the paper and you have your temlate of scallops that will fit across your fabric.
Happy stitching!

Thanks Bev. I worked out I was doing the scallops too deep & making it pucker when turned out. With the template I found it was easy. xx
Thanks for all your help girls. After pages & pages & pages on the internet, I finally found a printable template. This will work perfect. Hope to show you all in projects in the next few days. Lyn. xx
sorry, top link not working. second link ok. Scroll down & it's the "Spoon full of sugar" quilt pattern. xx
Here it is - Hehehe!
besides these tutorials there is another scallop tool - that I can't locate - but you use it for cutting and then for ironing after. I just can't think of the name of it or who makes it.
Here is a tutorial and if you do a search you will find some U-Tube videos
I too, was going to suggest a small saucer, a CD, or a large bottle cap. Good luck and hope you share your finished item in PROJECTS soon.
