Just a little thank you to all of you wonderful designers who put your designs on here for free.

Yesterday I had a sewing for hospice gathering. 34 wonderful, caring people showed up. Showed them how to make gowns, bibs (but now are being called Garment Protectors and angels. While there I took some of the dolls, finger puppets, and pocket dolls I have been making thanks to mops...sue and so many others I can't remember their names.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your designs. They were so happy that they will have things made for the children. Also Would love to ask if anyone has a FSL design for an angel for 4x4 hoop. These are used to put on the doors when it is the 11 hour and the family are there so that nobody enters. After death the family gets to keep the angel to remember their loved one. God Bless all of you wonderful designers.

Last year I lost 5 family within 6 1/2 months. I was heartbroken. I had just joined hospice and it was the roughest thing I ever did, but seeing that there is always someone hurting and in a lot of pain so much more then me made me strong. I love being there for just a few hours and know I am helping in some way keeps me doing it.

there for them when they just need someone to hold their hand or just sit there with them. I know they are in a lot of pain but when I get there they smile I would not trade anyplace on earth for where I am.

There are some very nice FSL Angels @ Designs by Sick. They look like leaves, and they stitch out really well too. Hugs, Susan

Thank all of you wonderful people for your compliments and where to get angels. I pop in every once in a while to see what is going on,(ya know I don't want to miss anything). But most of my day is cutting these items especially the gowns. If they don't have enough gowns they have to use paper and we all know how unconfortable the paper ones are. I will be in and out for a few days. Thanks again.

Such a wonderful endevor you are persuing, many thanks for all you do!! If I'm not mistaken there is a russian site with many freebies and angles, can't remember the name, perhaps some cuties will know what I mean. i like the name change for the bibs---here we refer to them as aprons. either is more dignified than 'bib'

Thank you for sharing this. I hope that someone will
share an angel for the 4x4 hoop. I make preemie gowns and would like to also send some angels with
them. I know many of the babies don't make it. I
would like to see pictures of the gowns and bibs also. I always learn from others ideas. Maureen

Thank you. Whenever people say that to me I just tell them I am working my way to heaven. Everyone can help at hospice...If they are non profit they have to have a percentage of volenteers for goverment help. They can answer phones, type, cook, anything..I do respice (not sure of spelling) where I go into the homes and sit with them to give caregivers a rest for a few hours. Most of my friends can't do that so they wanted to sew for them so with the help of hospice we set up a sewing meeting.

My field is respit (not sure of spelling) I go into the home and sit with someone and we play cards, read, watch tv while the caregiver gets a few hours to go out and do something.Yes they will die but they are human and just want someone to talk to sometime or just be there.
