This is a wonderful gift and you daughter will treasure it for years to come. So glad to hear that you mother enjoyed it too.
What a special mother's day gift. I know she treasured it and so will your daughter.
Beautiful. Mother's are very special. I know you miss yours very much.
Wow Shirlene you did a fantastic job on the digitizing. I am so jealous.
I am, I wish I could digitize. I want to make a family memory quilt for my bed and doing each of my kids and Grandkids in embroidery like this would make it even more special. I am just going to use the Bubble Jet solution, when I do make it.
She was such a beauty. What a lovely sentimental thing to do with her photo.
Shirlene your mother was a very beautiful woman...soozie

Your mom was a beautiful young lady. You resemble her and you also have a beautiful heirloom._Toogie
Thanks Toogie - not many people say that - my daughter has the heirloom - but I could have one to - if I wanted one - but I have it on my quilt - so I have a peek at the same design on a regular basis as another CUTE member asked for it - claiming to want it to make her own pillow - she did a great job with it and surprised me to have it on the quilt.
You have made a lovely pillows from your parents photo - great work Shirlene.
The digitizing is amazing and it looks gorgeous in the frame that you chose- what a wonderful heirloom you've made for your family
Cristina, thank you so very much. The frame is on my embroidery machine and fit the photo perfectly. I hope it does become a treasured heirloom.
It's lovely. And, it's something that you can see and touch whenever you want to remember your mom. Very sweet.
Thanks - yes - I could - if I ever went down the steep stairs at my daughter's house. (Hehehe, me and stairs and especially steep stairs don't mix.)
Your first digitizing? it looks really great, how long did you work on getting it just right? A fabulous (had to google the spelling LOL) work of art for a keepsake.
Thanks you so much Dolly - it wasn't alot of work - with the photo stitch program.
An amazing likeness to the photo of her. She must gave been so proud that you made it for her.
Anita, thank you - I wished I would have been present - when she got it - to see the expression on her face. But I do know that whenever anyone mentioned it - she always told them - that I not only made the pillow but digitized the design and stitched it on the pillow.
Nice to see and remember our dear friend...Hugs Shirlene x0x0x0

I hope you enjoy them all - it was Martine that suggested that I make a pillow for my Mother - which I already had done previously - so I am sharing it here now - just so you can see. This design was also used on the Quilt the the CUTE family members made for my Mother and was to be given to her on her 82nd. birthday - but she passed 11 days before her birthday so it was passed on to me - when I announced Miss Loretta was my Mother.
made for my Mother that was to be given to her for her 82nd birthday - she passed 11 days before that in 2010 - the quilt was given to me when I announced she was my Mother - upon her passing.
