Hi Cuties: I thought I would share this idea with you all. I used to make my kids and Grandkids polar fleece outfits in multicolours, eg one leg blue, the other red, etc. I used to by different coloured zippers that open at one end and then put two colours together. They loved them and got lots of compliments on their outfits. Sorry I don't have pictures, it was before I got a digital camera.

Hey!! wow!! Thankyou!!! I love this idea. I've done multi-coloured fleece things for my children before to use up large left-overs big enough for a leg or a front of a leg - that sort of thing - but I have a new wave of young'uns coming on and this will jazz up anything I make for them.
Thank you for sharing your idea - don't worry about who might have thought it up before you did. To me, it will always be Jerri's Thing.

Thank you Alma: I enjoyed making the kids fun things when they were little and they enjoyed wearing them. I just wish I had a camera back then to show them off. Its also a way to use up pieces of fleece that aren't big enough for a full outfit.
I am trying to make a laptop bag that has both Canadian and American Flags, as my daughter is marrying a wonderful guy from Seattle and is moving down June 28th. Sad days for me, but I am retired and can visit anytime, its only a couple hours away. I am using this zipper in the bag. If it all works out as planned, I will post a picture.

I did that kind of thing with the grandkids when the boys were younger and it actually started because that's what one of them asked for. Never thought of the zippers though - might have to do that one for one of the younger ones!

The kids used to help...by putting their own colours together..

I knew I wasn't the only one that would think of it. It happened quite by accident way back then...

This was only a year or two ago so you probably were the forerunner. Jan

I did that too, for (hooded) sweaters, still have a blue and yellow one that has been waiting for at least 15 years to be used. Got many a compliment, and funny questions like where can you buy those zippers.
Thanks for the reminder, I'll measure it, but I think my grands aren't yet tall enough.

I got the same questions as to where to buy them, and then when I told them what I did, they would ask what I did with the other halves....took them a minuted to figure it out...heheheheheh

I used to make 2 colour jumpers. Red front with blue sleeves, neck ribbing & pocket on front. Love the zipp idea too. xx

Your welcome Shirlene: I just thought others might like the idea. Wish I had pictures of the kids outfits. They were really cute. I think the patterns were from Kwik Sew.
