I made this for myself and added silver beads to the lid. have to admit I made it without looking at the instructions(very typical me) and stitched it on tearaway stabilizer instead of the wss and used no batting but it stands really well and isn't floppy. its from astitchahalf and this one is the 4x4 size.

How lovely!

I think the comment about not reading the instructions is very typical of a lot of women :-) and just goes to prove that you can sometimes do without them - this has turned out beautifully! Well done! Flowers all round! :-)

Anna - this is gorgeous! i have seen this, but never thought about doing it. What type of fabric did you do it on? I like the fact you did it on something other than WSS. Give me ideas for a couple projects. Good job!

thanks dlonna. I did it on cotton since it was my first try at such a thing so I didn't want to ruin expensive fabric. it wasn't hard to do and the tearaway does give it some stiffness so it stands really nicely. it does come with well explained instructions for wss and batting though, I might try it like that too one day myself. *4u
