The other day someone sent a link regarding the putting together of free standing lace. It involved using a polystyrene board to pin the lace to in order to keep the shape. Does anyone remember the link? I have been through a few pages now and cannot find it. Thanks in advance. Coral

I do pretty much what Angie (crafter2243) does - but I use a couple terry wash clothes. If I have a bowl - I make sure the sides and bottom are very flat when I dry them - I have only stitched on or two that have ever had to be shaped into a special form and I doubt I would go to to make trouble to make that happen - I still go through the process to dry them to almost dry - then spray them with a starch and shapme them with my hands or use pins or something to hold them in the shape until I dry them with my hair dryer.

I never go to that much trouble for any of my free standing lace, but I can see why that website did because of their special bowls.

Oh thank you so much Lidia. If I could give you 10 flowers I would. I knew I could depend on a Cutie to send me in the correct direction. Thanks again.

I am sorry I tried finding it for you but I can't. When I do FSL I simply rinse them out, pat them dry between paper towels and than lay them flat to dry.
