Nice job dlonna, downloaded the design but haven't had a chance to do it yet...
It has come up lovely Donna - I shall have to give it a try. I have not done cutwork previously either.
The bookmark is beautiful and I want everyone to find it so I will help you out. go to oregonpatchworks.com/collections.php?id=ffv then look in richelieu ensemble and on bottom of page is the bookmark. the instructions and be downloaded from that page too. ENJOY!!
Thank you - and those of you that have not done cut work - make sure you download the instructions, for I did not think of that until after the fact. Much easier if you know what to do.
Thanks lorri, I was taking ages looking, but was not going to give up. It is really beautiful
Great work dlonna, I hope that you used your fray block - when you did your cutting, as well? I love the look of cutwork - but sometimes it becomes more work that I enjoy - but this bookmark - looks like it is designed rather well for cutwork and I believe that I will attempt this one, too. *4U
Now, how would we guess that? I did not use fray check, but with the linen and WSS it does not appear that it will be needed. How about a doily using this technique - nice, huh?
Oh SEW Lovely. Cutwork has a vintage style about it don't you think?
Could you tell me how this works? I get the newletter from OPW and even found the bookmark but it says $10. Is there another place that it is to be found for free? Any suggestions, greatly appreciated. By the way, the bookmark looks beauitful!
You have to look in the designs, and they have it in another area - it takes a while to go through these, but do not remember exactly where it was. I saw where someone put the site out in community -hope you get back to it.
Honeebee - this was the first time I have seen this site and it took me a while to figure it out. For this design I eventually clicked on the picture and it brought up the download box. I could not see anywhere it said free and thought for a long time that I had not found the right place either.
This is beautiful, well done. cut work that a lot of work but well worth it
Good job dionna I'll b glad when I can get the chance to do mine*4U
I really like how this turned out. I will just have to wait patiently for a larger hoop for me to try it out. *4U ><>
I did not think that it would take my large hoop, but it did. Wish we could help get you one! But, ** to you.
Lovely. Thanks you for sharing. I use to do cute work the old fashion way by hand. This is a must try. Congradulations on a beautiful job.
If this is your first time at cutwork dionnahawkins you have made a fabulous job of it.
