since we will be going to Malta in a few days I needed something small and personal for family and friends there...... I made 21 of these umbrellas, here are just a few.

Very nice and bright!! i also collected about 3 dozen of them with my familys and friends name. I like yours better much brighter then I remember them being shown. Have a nice trip and enjoy!! flower for sharing

thanks sqdancer, no they are not magnets, I will put a piece of narrow ribbon through the little loop of top of each umbrella and then they use them as they like. *4u

these umbrellas came from 5 yahoo groups - Western_Embroidery, embprojects, KatieFund, adesigninstitches and PinMoney_Embroidery. they are no longer available on the groups since they were April's project but there may be info about them in one of these websites.

they are stitched on water soluble stabilizer (not the filmy type, the vilene type), I used two layers. *4u

I made two for hubby and me and attached ribbon (will eventually attach ribbon to all umbrellas tomorrow probably) to them and tied them to our wardrobe keys but there are really many things one could do with them.*4u
