Secret Santa updates. I was on the point of knocking Secret Santa on the head due to the frustration of the Towel swap (we still have 7 sets of towels still to arrive.) However, today I received an email from a very sweet person (who shall remain nameless), saying "I am a lonely old woman and these little gifts, Christmas in July, Towel exchange, birthdays, get-well gifts, cards etc have helped my morale so very much.

It's as if I have friends that live close by."
It brought a tear to my eye and made me feel so mean for nearly giving up.
I decided to share this as there seems to be a depressing amount of negativity about at the moment.

How nice that she took the time to tell you how your efforts are appreciated. Doesn't it make a huge difference :-)
I don't know about you, but comments like this just fuel my fire!
I know better than be a part of the exchange, because I am always running at the last moment and I'd never get anything mailed in time. Saying that, though, I am very happy for the people who are joining in this fun. Your efforts do make a difference, Sue! May God Bless you and may he also kick those in the seat who still who have not mailed - LOL Love you, Jan

Sue- I have enjoyed reading about and seeing the wonderful gifts you have all given each other over the past 6 months or so. I would really like to join your list of Secret Santa or Secret Sister when you decide to start the next go around.

Thank you to all the rest of you Cuties who give of your time, thought, energy to make this such a wonderful site. I have been singing your praises to anybody who will listen. Thank you for letting me be a little part of this wonderful worldwide group of people.

Sue, what a wonderful ministry you have created. Don't feel mean. I know it gets discouraging when someone doesn't come through and you feel partly responsible, but you shouldn't. Everyone appreciates your effort. I love looking at the postings.

Hurray! I don't want this to stop. You know I have embroidery friends and family and none will give me an embroidered gift because they think I won't appreciate it, but I will and do. No two people think alike and won't do they same thing. I really do love all of the gifts that I have recieved and enjoy making the ones I have done just as much if not more. So glad we will keep it up. Hugs & Stitches, Liz

We got these into the flower shop occasionally, amazing how they can color each petal. Has to be done by little cuts & dipping into food colors.

Gift giving always affects the giver, the receiver, and all the observers.
The kindness Cuties show each other is the reason I come to this site.
Thank you!

Sue thanks for all the work that you put into this.
I love to see the swaps/gifts received. As you can see by all the comments the "cuties" love this, some do not have any other gifts given to them. It is not your fault if someone does not fulfill there commitment.

I am willing to help if I can, if a gift can not be sent by someone because of circumstances beyond there control. Just left me know.

Hugs Yvonne

Oh, Sue please don't stop. Thank you for all of your hard work. I joined so I could get out of my blue times and think of someone besides myself. The recieveing is great but Gods word teaches that it is better to give than recieve. If I never get anything in return I have had a great time planning and exicuting my gifts. Hugs & Stitches, Liz

Last Christmas was a bad one for us. DH was still going thru radiation treatments for his lung cancer surgery. We did not put up a tree or even decorate. He was too weak. When I rec'd my package from my SS it was like receiving all the gold in the world. It was my only present. So Sue, you sure make a lot of us
happy when we are having rough times. Please continue. Hugs..Carol

Sue, please don't stop. These swaps are in part what drew me to this site. I love to go and see the results of the swaps and challenges. At some point I would love to participate. When I read the post and see the pics it makes me think back to exchanging gifts with my pen pals. And who doesn't like to receive a package in the mail.

In complete agreement with all the comments so far. You have spent so much time and energy to make this work - every one who joins the swap appreciates all you do. Please do keep it up. I just don't have enough people to share my projects with and this is such a great way to spread them around to others that appreciate what we do.

Sue, keep it up! If it just makes ONE unhappy person happy, it's worth it. I haven't participated only because I am SUCH a procrastanor (and I can't spell either!) and wouldn't want to not get around to mailing off my gift!! Then someone would be hurt! But I love to see what others send & receive.

Sue, I don't participate, but I thank you for doing this for others. I enjoy reading the posts and seeing the gifts, knowing what joy they bring. I belong to a Yahoo group, Cats n Quilts, and we have birthday fat quarter gift lists, and Secret Santa as well. I haven't participated lately, because I'm just not healthy enough to be reliable, but when you're alone and that Secret Santa gift is the only Christmas present you'll get, it really means a lot! Don't give up, please. There always in any group seems to be a few memories that need jogging a bit, or things do get lost in the mail. It does mean a lot to the people who participate, thanks for being caring enough to take the time to organize it. Big hugs for you, Marji

Thank you for all your efforts. This site means so many different things to so many people. We are all drawn to it as we share the love of embroidery and stitching.

Thank you for the reminder of what this site should always be about -- love.

Sue, how wonderful that these exchanges can be so wonderful to bring the CUTE family together and have such an inpack on the lives of all that partcipate in them. I know that the postings and the joy that these gifts make in the lives of so many of the CUTE members - it is hard - when someone signs up for an exchange and doesn't follow through - but that does happen. Perhaps in the future - we can all commit to do a better job and be sensitive to the fact that another may only get this one thing from across the miles that brings them joy and happiness. Thank you for everything that you do - if it would help - we could perhaps ease some of the work - by allow others to help in the effort.

Please don't giveup om the Secret Santa exchange. I didn't do the towel exchange because I was without computer access at that time so I have been looking forward to the Secret Santa. I know that it is time consuming for you but you make so many people happy with what you do. Thank you.

thanks for these nice words..It were some of these types of words that decided me to take over the birhtday-wish system. It seems to mean so much to some people and I'm glad that I can add some extra to this wonderfull site; 'cos helping out with sewing questions is still so far since I'm just a beginner. Isn't it lovely that we all can "upgrade" this site; each within his/her own possibilities (question of the day, greetings/wish of the day, jokes, sewing tips,...)
