Wow, there's a thought....uhmmm, I think if the design has specific textures in certain spots, these will not show up on the reverse side (?). Will have to test this idea.

I hope that your Embroidery machine will mirror the design for you. All the ones I've seen can do this.
Happy Stitching!

thanks to all who helped, my brain goes into overdrive when I have a problem and silly thoughts of how to fix the problem, but eventually I have to ask the very best problemsolvers here on Cute. Thank you for being here. Betty

What kind of machine do you have, and what is your format, Betty? Maybe I'm just ignorant, but I have a Janome 300E, which is hardly a high-end machine, and I've never had a problem with being able to manipulate designs in the machine itseelf. It seems odd that you can move it, turn it, but not mirror it. Anyway, Truesizer would be a good thing to download, and it's free. You can do a lot with it, I've heard it's pretty easy. I have Janome's Digitizer Pro, so I don't use Truesizer, but many say it's good. Best of luck with this one, hope you can solve it. Hugs, Marji

Thank you Marji but think Wilcom will fix, going there now. Just didn't know. Betty

Download Wilcom Truesizer if you haven't already. Open the design you want to mirror, do control A to select all, then just under the picture of the file there two funny looking icons, click the first one and it will mirror the design, then save it.

Is this perhaps a built in design on your machine? I know the disney ones are REALLY locked down - can't do much of anything with them. Other designs should be able to be mirrored in software and/or on the machine itself?

no, it is a chili pepper and a cherry, two designs which I need for the bottom of the towel to match the fabric on top as I am making the "dress" towels by emblibrary last week free pattern. I can turn the design but really need mirror, have edit feature on machine but it does not highlight mirror. any other suggestion to try? Betty

feature on my machine but it does not highlight the options which means it cannot be changed. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks, Betty

I don't believe this will work. Good idea though. The bobbin thread (colored thread) will be tight and the top thread will show. However, you could try to do it with the same thread top and bottom with every color change. Then the reverse might look right.

thanks, design is going on a white towel and do not want color underneath as it will show. why are some designs not adjustable, like size, mirror, etc? Betty

Yes I have come across this problem with a few designs. I tried to do a resize, but somehow it would not highlight. Perhaps this command can be built into the design by the digitizer or into the download.
