Here is a tip, If you want to save a picture and the site says NO.As long as you are not going to infringe the copy right.

here is how to do it.
Press, ALT and Prt scr, then press the start button, to bring up programs, choose paint. Then press Edit and Paste. Then press file save as... hope this helps...

On my computer when I press Alt+PrtScr, the entire page will automatically be sent to my printer and be printed out. I don't always want that. The newer computers make it easier to select a portion of a page to print (snipping). But even older computer like mine that has XP, you can Select/PrintSelection and just print part of the page. Sometimes I have to fiddle a little to just select only the part I want, but it works.

Some websites have more sophisticated protection against people copying what they post. I bought a program called...are you ready for this?..."Printscreen" that lets me copy things that are supposedly blocked or won't let me "Select". Printscreen lets me draw a box like you do in snipping. However, in the past year, I've come across two or three sites that I have been totally unable to print from.

Also, sometimes I don't want to print but want to save the picture or whatever. So I Select/File/SaveAs and save it into a folder just as you would anything else. Saves on printer ink.

I used to do that before I discovered the snipping tool (on Windows 7 and Vista) I have the shortcut on my task bar and I click on it, put a box around what I want to keep and save. Easy peasy!

It could be hidden in "Accessories". It is part of the Windows Vista package. It took me a while to find it on my old laptop.

There's also a free add-on to the Chrome browser called "Screen Capture" that gives several options on what to save.
