Love it! Had a friend whose Dad was a jeweler, so she wore lots of bling (the real stuff) and we always teased her about it.
Hugs,
Jacqueline
I've got my eye on a couple of designs from S-Embroidery that are $25 ea if memory serves me correctly but the will have to go on sale before I buy. Some of the sets from My Embroidery are $80 -$90 but have bought them when they were half price & our dollar was high
Hi Lyn,
I paid $25.00 for a coaster from Zundt design - just had to have it! Love Chris
oH! child. if you want it , you want it. Don't feel guilty! We all do this at times!
The Quilt block i am working on cost wayyyyyyyyyy up there one hunderd plus but i had helpers buy it for me(sons) hugs
Well it's a cute design & if you are happy with it that's the main thing.
It probably was worth it - especially if you can use it more than once! Really cute and unique. That's about the top I will pay for a design I love too! I don't think you'll regret it. Sometime when you're going to stop for fast food to take home for supper, skip it and call your meal preparation at home - payment for your fun design! Then you won't feel guilty - LOL Hugs, Jan
For me, buying a design is like buying a piece of art. It gives me pleasure just lookiing at it even if I never stitch it out. I just can't recall what I've paid for an individual design, but I don't think $12 is too much as long as it fits into your budget. I avoid impulse buying too. If I see a design I just have to have, I wait a week, or until the last day of the sale, before buying it. Sometimes I don't like it so much after a few days of looking at it.
this is very cute...I would really have to have it for a certain project.. I put this one on my wish list..
I won't pay a whole lot (and I think that my definition of a whole lot varies from day to day) but if it is something I truly love, I'll get it and not worry about it. As long as I can pay my bills, its not worth feeling guilty about.
I bought a couple of sets from OPW and paid about $125 for the two sets. There was a total of 14 designs. And that was the sale price! It comes out to about $9 per design.
My question would be: Do you really like every design in the sets? The german designers often have some fillers in their sets: I love fly agarics but I don't need them in every set I buy just to give the seller an argument for a better price (cause you have more designs included). Greetings, Bettina
have more designs incl. although you don't need/like them).
So I prefer sometimes buying single designs for a higher price than a set with to much "fluff" in it).
Greetings, Bettina
I have embroidered all of them. They take 90-120 minutes each to embroider and I am planning to make them into a quilt. They are all very bright and colorful. I'll take pictures of a couple of them and post them.
You have bought a great design and I hope you enjoy using it. Cant remember the most I have paid for a design but I do try to wait for offers
I was just texting with shirlene and she sent me to the same design! How cool is that... she is still so much a part. Live Laugh Download Stitch!
That is a cute design. I don't know what the most I ever paid for one design for sure.
$10 is the most I have paid for a single and it was for ITH designs that I can make to sell. I wait for sales whenever possible but I understand seeing something you just have to have!
I have paid $12.00 but that was the most, Usually wait and catch a sale . Some like Sonia Showalter never run a sale so I think I paid $9.00 for her designs, but I only own 2. If I really want I'll find a way .
Bev
I also only wait for sales. I am on a liminited income and the designs have to pay for themself. Not being able to sell would just turn me off. I may only use the design once for a customer but when I get it on sale it has been paid for. But most of the time I use Cutie designs and they are free and in my opinoin some of the best. We have so many great designers.
Hugs Joann
I have seen a few designs out there that I would like to have. Being scottish LOL I will wait for a sale.
Cute design. Enjoy
Good on you, Lyn! If you absolutely want it, $12 is not really that much for such a large design. Don't feel guilty and enjoy it!
Hugs, Lidia
gosh thats a lot i have paid that for a set but not a single design.. hope you have fun with is
big hugs from London - maria xx
Just for my own pleasure? I'm always looking for the Lulu-designs from Anne Higgins (vendor is also Great Notions) but they are too pricy just for my own pleasure. It would be another thing if I would be allowed to sell things embroidered with the designs but those designs are just for personal use.
So 25,-$ for a single design is too much (although I really love them ;o)
I'm always waiting for the annual sale at "bit of a stitch" (it's around christmas and new year) cause I'm also a fan of their designs :o)
Greetings, Bettina
Is there any chance that Anne Higgins might change her mind? even with a limited use. It's not as though we can produce the numbers a day some designers seem afraid of. Jan
My hope too :o)
Love her designs and style but 25,-$ for a single design is too much just for personal use (for my poket-money ;-).
Greetings, Bettina
