I have found that during ordinary stitching, that type of fabric needs a finer size needle. So I would neaten off with the sewing machine instead of changing my overlock needles.
Hope you are getting some better results now, with all the good advice from everyone.
Happy Stitching!
Thanks! I did sew it also on my sewing machine to have a double stitch. Which it gave me no problem. I still have another garment that uses this same fabric which I have to sew. I L*VE my serger/overlock machine and it's like a Mastercard (I can't leave home without it :) I will test it on a scrap piece after I clean it, etc...THANKS AGAIN ;D *2U
Dull or knicked needle could definately do that! I would make sure the blade is really clean (I have never had to replace a blade on any of 4 sergers over the years). You can put a tiny drop of oil (really not alot!) on the blade and wipe it down, make sure no fuzz is stopping it's path. Sometimes delicate fabric requires special care. Try putting a piece of tissue paper(left over pattern scraps) on the fabric and see if that helps. Linda
Maybe your cutting edge needs to be changed or sharpened.
Thanks I was just telling myself that I need to purchase a few extra's ;D *2U
