I am so glad he enjoyed his time at camp! I hope you also enjoyed your moments of quiet. I am sure he will make up for lost time with his mom...all boys do! All eight of my boys -- together...make noise! But it is a beautiful noise!
It was really quiet without him - and I didn't listen to a single Beatles song for 5 days :-)
Ben is home - and he had a good time! Just as we were pulling away from camp, he said, "Benny had a grrrrreat time at Adam's Camp! I survived too - LOL The counselor said he was very happy about 25% of the time. I figure that is pretty darn good - especially for Ben :-) Thanks for all your encouragement and support! Jan
See that SMILE, Jan! That is reason enough for you to relax, when camp time comes again! Cindy goes the last week of August, and she looks forward to it each year! It takes me the first day or two to get used to her not being home and wanting my attention! LOL Glad Ben said he had a great time! His expression shows it!!
Hugs,
Angel
attention. Now, you can tell from Ben's expression, he did have a great time! Glad he is back home safe, and no issues arose that camp staff couldn't handle!
Hugs, Angel
HI Jan! He looks so happy! I hope you looked as happy getting R&R during his camp stay!! Respites are wonderful revitalisers for everyone!! HUGS and God Bless!! ro
They truly are an incredible team! This guy is John, and he helped Ben a whole lot! God Bless Adam's Camp!
Here is a photo of him posted from camp. he doesn't look very happy, does he?
He is not in Pavel's group - boo hoo. I don't know if I can take this.....
He doesn't look unhappy to me, Jan; just concentrating on those in front of him, especially the camera man! He may be tired, but it's a good tired, when one is experiencing life with others!
You're supposed to be relaxing!! Now, get to it!! LOL
Hugs,
Angel
I did his shirt, but couldn't share because it's not really legal - LOL. I hope it is okay if we do these for our own personal use. I'd hate to be locked up in the Disney Jail!
I hope he will enjoy the time at Camp, and you try to enjoy the time you can spend at things you couldn't do before. Hugs, Gerry
Dear Jan, just saw this post. I do hope Ben is enjoying himself at camp and that you are having some well earned respite yourself. Love Chris
Hi Jan, this sounds like a wonderful respite for you and a great adventure for Ben! You will both be in my prayers!!! HUGS and God Bless:>) ro
Jan, breathe ~ in through the nose, out through the mouth.... you will both be fine. I felt the same way when my baby went to school on the first day.;)
They called last night and asked for more heat pads for pain and his TENS machine. So, I drove those down this morning. He was fine and they were doing their very best to keep him involved and happy, with all the medical items replenished. I couldn't believe they went through them so fast - much faster than at home. I can relax, mostly, but I have so many things I want to do - but I think i'll take a nap instead. We are going out for dinner tonight, and NOT going to the place we usually take Ben - LOL. Thanks for all your concerns - hugs, Jan
I understand your feelings, Jan. When Cindy goes to camp each year, it is difficult to get use to not having the constant interruptions, and I find myself going to check on her occasionally out of habit. But, Cindy's camp time, is a few days that I call my "down" time, to unwind and relax, so I try to do just that! Ben will be fine, and they will call should they have a significant issue, so try to relax and ENJOY these few days!
Hugs and love,
Angel
You know EXACTLY how I feel, Angel. When it was bedtime last night, I kept having that feeling I was forgetting something. How nice to not have to do the bedtime routine for 4 evenings. I didn't have to dress anyone but myself today :-) I couldn't believe how easy it was to leave the house - he he.
lieve how easy it was to get out of the house today with just me. I only had to dress myself Still I miss him - but what a nice miss it is! Hugs to Cindy! Jan
Dear Jan, Just try and relax. I am sure that Ben is being well looked after. It will do you both the world of good. Love and thoughts coming your way. Hugs Sarah.
Dear Jan. A well deserved break. I hope you can enjoy every minute of it.
Time will pass quickly, especially if you are Stitchin! Let me know if you want to come to town. even thought the 4th is next week, it is a good week for me! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Hope you are doing okay without your DS.
You are probably counting the minutes.
Lots of Hugs and Prayers
Enjoy your break Ben will be well cared for and you make the most of some well earned rest!
I hope all goes well for Ben and camp. You will enjoy a well earned deserved rest and hopefully he will adapt to the new situation. Hugs, Mary
Prayers that Ben will have a great time at camp and that you will enjoy your free time. This is a well deserved time away for both of you.

With other kids around and new things to see and try hopefully he will be distracted enough that he will not miss home. It's so hard to leave a child and not think about how they are getting along. I would give the camp a call to see how he is doing for your peace of mind. Prayers that all goes well for him and he has a nice time there.
OH Jan you are such a trouper! I will pray that Ben loves camp and you have a well earned break.
A Mother's love knows no bounds and you are a Mum in a million, enjoy yourself, you deserve to.
Hugs and blessings, Meg
