Join with me in praying for Colorado. 32,000 people have been evacuated, the fire has consumed homes and has reached the city. Pray for the families and those risking their lives to try and stop the fire.

I can't imagine the worry and fear people are going through, fire is terrible. I'm just watching the storms and the aftermath in another part of the USA. If it's not one thing, it's another.God bless. Jan

This is the largest fire in Colorado. The other large one, which is East of us, is now under 65% controlled! Praise the Lord, but dear Lord, please quinch the ones near Colorado Springs!

What terrible pictures. I have just seen some other pictures in our Sunday papers (South Africa) showing the devastation. My thought are with the families who have lost their homes and precious belongings and to the brave fire fighters. Sarah.

I do join you in prayer. So many homes have just gone up in smoke. They go so fast that I am shock that they have been able to evacuate so many in time. Thanks for posting this.

There have now been three people who have been found dead in their homes. It is incredible how many homes have been destroyed, and yet there is no end in sight. Thank you all for your prayers. It is really scary. Hugs, Jan

When my DH was in the army, we lived in Colorado Springs. It was so beautiful and different from the east coast. My heart goes out to all of them.

Thankfully today was not a wild wind day and the tiny bit of rain and humidity helped to keep the fires in check. Hopefully tomorrow the winds will not kick up as we are expecting another hot dry day.

Thank you all for the prayers. Even though we are 30-50 miles from the fires, we can see smoke in the air. Where we live is really dry. We get thunderclouds but they can't seem to drop any rain. We have pet carriers ready to go, and neighbors to watch out for too. It is really scary. Hugs, Jan

Thanks Jerrilyn - we have seen them over here on Australian television. We know what you are going through as our country is rife with these bushfires every summer. I pray for no loss of life. Houses can be replaced, but lives lost is the worst scenario. Love and prayers for all concerned. Love Chris

Chris I have had phone calles from the Rural Fire brigade asking for donations. They are saying that after all the rain we have had so far this winter the undergroth is growing fast and summer we will be having bad fires again. Hugs Joyce
