OK, the cancer seems to be stable, the scans show a new lesion on a right rib but it may have just been missed last time around. The scan shows several ribs that had been fractured but are healing or healed now. I have arthritis bad in the left hip and I will be seeing a doctor for that July 9th, my doc said they would not likely do a hip replacement because of the cancer lesions that are in the socket. I will still be getting Xgevia shots once a month to keep the bones strong but will not be taking any kind of chemo by IV or pills and we will check later to see how it is going. She said that if we want to take a vacation we can take off and if my shot is a week late or whatever it would not make a difference so we have some freedom but won't be going anywhere till at least August. To me this is all good news as long as we can get the hip pain under control, it has me in tears some days but isn't too bad on other days. Thank you for all your prayers as they are helping. Thank you! I heard from a friend last night that they waited at this doctor's office for almost 3 hours to see him. I don't like waiting much so I don't know if I will see him!

Thank you, I don't know what we will be doing now. Scans every 3 months like before? Just don't know much but I am not in remission, she says I am stable yet I got a new lesion on a rib. Right now I just want the hip and leg pain to go away. 2 days till I see the arthritis doc, can't wait!

Thank you, I have more hair on the sides and back than on top though. I have lost weight and I want to lose some more as long as my doctor doesn't mind. About 30 pounds since the beginning of the year. Went from the 160s to the 130s, yea!!

Oh, Debra, I have been thinking about you, wondering how you were doing! I'm so glad the cancer is stable and you are freed up a bit from all the meds. As Jan mentioned the TENS device for pain, my sister-in-law used it for pain in her hip with good results. You may want to try it to get that hip pain reigned in so you can be able to enjoy each day more!

Yes, hoping for the Aug trip but will take it any time hubby decides he's ready! Nothing takes my mind off the pain. Have been beading bracelets and anklets and earrings and still having pain.
