Hi Cuties,

Can anyone tell me if you can use 'Serafil 120/2 * 180 as bobbin fill ??

This is the question I asked last week the day my computer died, so I'm sorry I didn't reply.

Thanks for those links Muffy.
The thread I have is exactly the same as the one in the second link.
I have that colour & White/cream (5000mtr)

I've had them for years but never used them, so you can see why I'd like to use them as bobbin thread,

I have a couple of the 5000mtr reels...and to me looks perfect for the job.... such a waste otherwise

I bought a cone of Serafil 200/2 a couple of years ago to use as a bobbin thread and it worked beautifully UNTIL I had my machine serviced. Since then I've had to adjust the upper thread tension. I bought from e-bay and it was very good value.
I would think the 200/2 is finer than the 120/2 from reading the links that muffy has supplied.

It looks like it would be OK, here are a couple of links. It says it's a "strong, durable, high-tenacity polyester continuous filaments". Looks like it may be a stonger, smoother than your normal run of the mill embroidery thread.

Is the weight of the thread 180?
I f so I would think it would be too light weight for use as bobbin thread for embroidery machines.

Do you have a link to this thread so we may see it?
That may help us answer your question.
