It crossed my mind that it would be good if legitimate 'please help' types of questions were to stay at the top until they get a few answers. Of course they'd be more obvious anyway, if things end up being 'sorted' a little more :)
I think it might be possible (depending on the database used) to sort -- retrieving only unanswered questions. I am not sure if that could be easily done after a reply. It wouldn't bring up two picture posts as they have used reply to post
I'd really love it if the "show: All | my questions | my answers | marked" buttons/links worked again :) Please. xXx
I suppose Miss Veronika will try to please everybody. But personly I don't like the thumb down icon. It can only give more discussion. For some particular post are appreciated while others don't like to read it. some like the daily posts and some don't. so please no thumbs. let's try to keep the peace and harmony and stay a "cute"site. and let's wait how it will be with the 4 moderators to help miss V.
I like the comments on the tabs. I could add a few, too. And the rules posted to be easily referenced. I am sure that she and the moderators have this discussion going on and will look at all possiblities to improve the site.
I agree the banning or "thumbs" should not be discussed or shown to the community at all.
All real Badies must just vanish...
Thank you to all Cuties for your posts. I appreciate your help.
Veronika
Miss V thanks for responding. I appreciate it. Will be waiting for more upgrades and correspondence from you.

I do agree that if we were to specify more where sewing/embroidery related posts go, it might relieve frustrations for some who only want to read those. Sorry, I feel the thumbs down idea is rather negative.
I also think that the wording of tabs perhaps should change. I do not like the thumbs down idea very much - feels like days at school with a rap on the knuckles. I think it is unnecessary to show people up. I just think a bit of respect is needed. Sarah.
Or the little black book LOL *** :}. Key word respect for yourself and others - you are so right.
I agree, the Thumbs Down icon would be a disaster and would cause more problems. Lets play nice.
I have to be really honest and say that I have stopped interacting on this site since the upgrades took out the ability to click on my posts or my answers. I could not be bothered searching for the conversations. I know everyone is going to say "it is a free community" That it is, but we are all doing miss Veronika a favour by creating content on her site and helping to drive traffic here.In my opinion the site has lost it's value since those features have gone and I am less inclined to come here now.
I for one miss you Alice - also miss how the site used to be. Let us hope we will get some of the old features back. Hugs Sarah.
Miss you too Alice. As a matter of fact there are quite a few Cuties I really miss - what happened to Cuties like "Pssst"
This really saddens me to say but I only give flowers to the questions that I reply to. It makes it easier to find them. I still give flowers to everyone that answers questions. hugs Marg
Agree with you Alice. Since the "upgrade" the community is much more uncomfortable to use. Yes it is free but I was willing to pay for a membership (and I do not really use many of the designs) but we are also a part of Cute. On the HP you can read: Real people...real help (when you click on community)
Real people...real help (when you click on community).
We all are "working" on the goal that this page is a plattform to help people and I think we are really good cause we are working around the clock and every day of the week ;o)
Greetings, Bet
One of the things I miss is not being able to click on a Cuties name and to see which country they are from. This would be a great help when answering questions regarding where to get supplies etc. Otherwise maybe it is not the site that needs to change but the users. NOW does that get me a THUMBS DOWN. Marg
Amen. Can't tell if members are my close neighbors or friends far away. No you do not get a thumbs down. We are all members who have a right to our opinions as long as we do not trample other member's opinions with rude uncalled for remarks . I say prayers for those people who are rude and hostile that they be touched by the loving care of God and can be changed.

I would think that Sewing/Embroidery would be a tab, since I embroider squares to use in my quilts, I sew "in the hoop" embroidered items, and sew clothing which I embroider on. They blend. And we are forever looking for different things to make while using the embroidery designs. How can we seperate them?
Both good suggestions. Since site design is foreign territory for me, I don't know if they can be accommodated, but I will certainly also point a link to this post to Veronika, as well as your PM, Sandy. I think quite a few would like re-named tabs to make posting clearer, and a set of rules that could be clicked on like the "designs" and "community", a permanent link to refer to, and possibly a box to check "I have read and agree to these rules" before completing registration would be good, too. As I said, I don't know what is technically feasible, but will be sure Veronika gets a link to the responses in this post. Thanks for the time and input. Hugs, Marji
First, I would like to thank Ms. Veronika for her site and all she freely offers.
I think it would help Cuties if the Personal tab was not a public forum. Many Cuties share very personal things (medical conditions and their locations as well as family members names) that should not be shared with the general public.
Also, it might help if we had to click through a site rules page before we could finish signing in or when we post each time. I know that would be much harder designing the site but it might make more people aware of the official site rules. At the very least a link or a tab for all the rules by which we will all be governed would be great.
Being able to sort and search again as well as edit our own posts again would be wonderful! I just hope the database they are using will accomodate those fields. I understand a little of database administration but am not a database designer and I only do only very basic website designs -- however, I will help if I can
