Hi, The daughter of one of the girls I work with is getting married to a young man from Egypt. Is there a symbol or saying that is considered a Good Luck wish for their wedding that could use in a design?

Hi, I digitised a scarab for you, but didn't know if the round circle thingy is supposed to be part of it so I left that off. This design is 3.45 x 3.86 inches with 10,657 stitches, but I can now make it any size you would like.

very nice*

the round circle does not have to be a part of the scarab. You did a great job!

There are free egyptian designs at BFC-creations, however you would have to find them and that is not easy. LLDS!

If you would like me to digitise these for you please email me and let me know the size you require and your machine format
emad: melide_menschen@yahoo.com.au
this is to make it easier for me to send them directly to you when I finish them.
I do not normally upload personal designs requests to DBC unless other Cuties also want them.

in bfc.creations: lace and doileys is a freebie of the eye too. But personly I think Megannes design is more beautiful.

IN Egypt there's the symbol of the key of Ankh or as we call it: 1.the key of life.
2. The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health.
3. A scarab (artifact) was an object symbolizing the holy beetle in Ancient Egypt, as a bringer of luck

These are the symbols you could use, hope you find a design to embroider. If I find one I will post. Hugs, Gerry

The phrase "It's a small world" needs to have "and getting smaller every day" to it!!

I can't help you with a design but have attached a link that you can get ideas from for Egyptian symbols.

The Egyptians are a very supersticious people and usually every home has a blue eye or painted hand palm somewhere. There are two websites that offer many Arabic themed patterns but I can't think of the names just now, Oriental something. I did a 20 minute search to find them but to no avail, sorry. Good Luck!!
