If you have Pe-design there is a lovely section in the manual that explains how to set your designs for this.
NB: I use the scissors to cut designs into sections first.Keep them grouped though and most any design can work.
I did experiments using this Multi hoop to also Hoop twice and 4 times. Careful planning, firm fabric, and lots of printing allows you line up for some mega size designs.
Happy Stitching!
Mine has a multi posistion hoop. It will stitch 4x4 in A posistion , move the hoop to B position to stitch another 4x4 part of the design, and then move it to the C position to stitch a further 4x4.
Here is a pic of the designs {CARD No 31} and what will stitch at each posistion. Some designs will ask a diff sequence like BCA. The total of the design equal to a 4x7 but you don't have to rehoop it is done in one hoop.
BTW this hoop also fitted the Bernina model???.
I love that hoop and would always enlarge my designs for it.
I have the 190D, which is basically the same machine. I bought the 100 x170 mm hoop. The sewing area stays the same, but you can move the hoop to a different position and so stitch out larger (combinations of) designs. Your manual should have it mentioned at the back under 'optional'.
Thanks I will get my manual out and have a re read some new bed time reading me thinks
I have the Brother PE180 which is just a step up from the 150. You can only do 4x4's of course unless you get split patterns. It's nice to use the bigger hoop to do a 4x4 design at the top then move the hoop up and write something under the design then you don't have to re-hoop. Hope this makes sence to you. Hugs
I have used the 150 before and we sold them at the shop I worked for so I am very sure about this.
I am not sure, however my 400 has the 5x7 optional hoop and only has 4x4 image area, however you can learn to do split hoops and some designs break it down for you. Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Yes that is what I have done in the past but it is a bit fidely thanks for your response
