I loved finding our how you each came to the site and why you stayed. Thanks
Had just bought my little second hand embroidery machine and with no experience or lessons turned to the internet for help and I have been on almost daily ever since. I have learnt so much from an amazing bunch of people. Thank you all. Hugs Sarah.
I have a friend that has a niece that is a member and she suggested that I come and see what the site was all about. I can't remember the niece's name or I would thank her. I will tell her Aunt next time I see her, though. Once here, it felt like I had jumped in with both feet and felt at home. It is an easy site to get around and I have learned alot from the Q&A's when they pertain to embroidery and tips. Thanks
I found it on the internet, just after i got my Brother inovice 4x4 hoop, If I had found Cuties first I could have got so much more advise on machines, I would have had a bigger hoop and may be spent more on a machine, but ha ho, once I did find it, A hear and a half ago I have had so much help from other Cuties, also from looking at projects , you can get so much information and ideas.
I LOVE THIS SITE.
Hugs Pam.
Pam- i did exactly the same :( and have the same machine as yourself- so limited on designs ;(
Hugs
Marie
Pam & Marie, I think it is wonderful that you both have the same machine. I am glad you found the site when you did and that you have learned from it.
Well I joined in October 2008. Was looking for something on the Internet and linked on the "cute" site have been here ever since.
Loved the way everyone was so willing to help each other and all the advise and tips given. And the fantastic designs that Miss V has given out so freely, plus all the free designs on "designs by cuties"
Also made so many friends on the site, and am very fortunate to be in a group CTC(Cape Town Cuties) which was brought together through this wonderful site. We try to meet at least once a month. Many friends made from all over the world as well, wish we could all get together in person some day.
Have learnt so much from all the wonderful people who are willing to share there knowledge with us all.
As I was taught we are never to old to learn something new.
Thanks again for all the wonderful friends I have made through this fantastic site.
This is 1 of the designs I digitised for all the new "cuties"
Hugs Yvonne
Yvonne, I think it is so amazing that you come to cute and then you found the other CTC's here and join together to have a monthly meeting and share your idea's. You are right aobut the site and it would be so wonderful if we could have an International Garthering, but for most of us that is a dream. Thanks
Thank you Yvonne for being one of my special friends on Cute also being able to meet all the CT cuties was great.
It was the willingness of the CUTIES to help each other when we are stuck with a question and need help. Hugs *
I am so thrilled you liked this question and I enjoyed learning how you each got here and why you keep coming back.
As for me, it was the alpha each day. Not that I have actually used very many of them. But they do come in handing on many towels and pillowcases when I have a gift to make. Thanks Veronika for your lovely designs and especially the alpha's. However, it was the Question and Ansers from the cute family that kept me here. I enjoyed the sharing of this wonderful craft. I enjoy working with my embroidery so much more, now that I have been able to read more about what everyone struggles with and how you can learn in a moment from another. Thank you each for being just who you are and that you keep helping one and another. I really enjoy cuteembroidery.com and each of the members. Thanks Veronika for having great wisdom to put this all together.
Thank you each for sharing your wonderful transition. I too, like many of you, were given the site addy and told I could find designs and ask questions about ME Machine Embroidery)and the wonderful news is that I received answers from many of you. I so appreicate that. I was a lurker and sometimes still do that more than join in. However, I would like to see the site be more like it was when I 1st came and figured I had to be an example of what I saw and wanted back what attracked me to the site in the 1st place. It was the caring of each in sharing their craft. THANKS to cuteembroidery and Veronika for the wonderful designs for without them in the 1st place, I may never have stayed to find the Q&A's.
Thank you for posting and encouragement. I think it is fantasitc that you are joining in.
Well it was fellow member sorval that told me about the Cute site. Wonder how she's been doing lately.
After buying my first embroidery machine over 10 years ago there were a few sites on the internet. When I bought my 2nd machine I found Cute and have been on here ever since and visit it every day. I love the friendships here, the great information that is shared so generously and of course the designs. Without this site I wouldn't have found out how to do lace so big thanks to Shirlene! I've met Meg, Pauline, Coral, Irene & Tubby too!Love C
Wonderful, so happy you came and have stayed and learned so much and made so many new friends.
Chris, we are so glad that you came and joined in. You have inspired many of us and we are so happy for you to have been able to met so many others.
I had bought my first embroidery machine and needed all the help I could get! It was the best instructional site on the web!
It Had a daily design and it is so easy to find things. Some sites are too completed for us that aren't too good with the computer. The designs work out well and conversation is there if you choose to talk. Love this site.
I am so happy you enjoy the site and that you found it easy to get around, thanks
I remember quite well. I had went daily to the site that has a freebee every day and one day (after seeing several times) I decided to try this CuteEmbroidery site ans see what gives. It was the very first day Miss V started the daily alphabet letter a day so I got the A on it and continued from there because I was hooked! I did not do any posts for a long time, just read others remarks, but finally, something moved me to respond & still do not post a lot, but I am here every day, even Holidays!!! Thanx Miss Veronika & Hugs, Judy
Judy, so happy you came at the beginning of an alpha. I think many of us waiting to see what was what before we joined in much. I am glad to hear something moved your and got you posting. Thanks
I must have found Cute while trawling the Internet for information on ME. The many varied q&a was and is very useful particularly as I live in a rural area. To be able to pass ideas back and forth and see what others produce is fantastic. Long may the site thrive. Through visiting some of us have met and that too has been wonderful. Like many I was a lurker for ages, so for any who are lurking in the background come in and join, usually its great fun.
After asking us the question 1sewnsew what brought you here?
Caroline you hit the mark :o)
I for myself cannot remember it's sooo long ago *lol*
Greetings, Bettina
Thank you so much for your answer and your question. I will post something soon, too.
Thank you each. Carolyn, I am so happy that you have been able to visit some of the others and don't lurk so much we all enjoy you and your comments. I will post soon.
I got my machine a couple yrs. ago - not knowing ANYTHING about ME - I had been told I could find all kinds of freebie designs on line. I had found a lot of sites and then I came across this one from an ad on another site showing 6 freebies a day. Well, needless to say, I checked out this site. I didn't join in for quite some time, but enjoyed the comments between people, the caring, and the info. I finally joined in one day and occassionally after that and now everyday. I hardly went back to most of the other sites after that.
It is amazing that the free designs brought so many and that it was the comments that helped us stay.
I got my first embroidery machine about 10 years ago ,but only learned to use a computer well three years this fall.People like marj. drew pictures on here to explain how and were to go to do something,on this site. That will be a praise from me forever:):)
I will never forget her and a few others that helped me when i was and still learning(now you know why i make so many mistakes )hugs carolyn
Thanks Carolyn for all that you share in projects and it seems like you have learned a great deal to be doing so many ongoing things.
At the NEC.UK.talking to a lady from Avoca,Wicklow, she said to go on Cute embroidery,I would like to thank her if she is reading this,so I looked it up, I thought every one was so friendly.embroidery is just a hobby for me,I love the input from other Cuties.
My husband was deployed to the Middle East. I was bored and decided to google machine embroidery. I was rewarded with lots of sites, but Cute, at the time was so welcoming and had so much information, I was hooked. At the time there were lots of embroidery questions being posted. I don't care how much you know, there was always something new to learn.
I am so happy to hear that it was the embroidery questions being posted that you learned from and stayed.
I agree with Sarah, so happy to hear you enjoyed the Q&A area and that you have stayed. We enjoy you.
a friend reccomended this site to me & as soon I came I felt like I belonged & most of the time it has been a wonderful place where I can share & learn & show & regardless of other things I am glad to have found it Hugs & **********2all Loralye
I happend up on this site when I was searchng for a design I thought wow this was a great place to visit and Shirlene, maganne ,yoriko, lillian and carolyn were such wonderful people. I am here most every day I may not post any thing but that don't mean I have not been here handing out flowers.I love this site.
Lenamae
ditto I would add jrob to that list. There were several others at the time but are no longer here. This is the only site I interact on. I was just beginning embroidery back then and they were encouraging and helpful. The group was much smaller also. I try to keep up with the postings but there are so many. I spent a lot of time reading and learning! Veronika was/is so gracious and generous.
to keep with the new but it is a much larger group now. Veronika is so gracious and generous. I have learn much and read a lot.
Thank you both of you. It is so wonderful to hear of how you come and enjoyed the fellowship and designs.
Thanks for sharing your journey with all of us and so happy you have stayed.
Cute was recommended by the sales lady where I bought my machine, she promptly produced the webaddy after we made the payment, and I have been grateful to her ever since, hugs S*
It is great that the sales people also know about the cuteembroidery site and can pass that info on.
I happened on this site looking for answers to machine embroidery..... Asked a question (don't even remember what it was) I got good answers and have been here ever since.
MJDG
Isn't that wonderful, just asking a question about ME and you got the answer.
I belonged for a long time but did not start with the community till a couple of years ago. It was the
caring group that made me come back and the plus was lots of nice designs and help.
I found this site through DesignsBy SiCK....and found it had freebies and a lot of interesting people writing in with sewing info as well as personal stuff. Love the freebies..of course...but the Q & A part is great too. You just never know what's around the bend.
Was introduced to cute by my SIL and recommended by the
saleclerk where I purchased my machine. Got hooked right away by the kindness, sharing, and general fun that was evident everywhere on this site including all the free designs from Miss V.
Now I feel this is part of my crafting family and enjoy
myself whenever I visit.
Hugs
Michelle
My daughter bought my 1st subscription about 2 months after Cute Embroidery began. The comaraderie and caring and good advice and instructions we had among us old timers kept me here along with the the wonderful, marvelous Ms Veronika. She is definitely one of a kind./Lillian
