PE Design digitizing question - I use the old version 5. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to reverse the direction of the stitching. I keep getting a jump stitch where it should just start stitching right there, instead of going to the other end. Does this make sense? Does anyone have any ideas of what I should try? Thank You! in desperation, hightechgrammy - or not.....

Shadow letters Layout and Editing Notes

1 True type font: Algerian 3inch
2 Line sew: Black, Ev stitch
3 Region sew: Blue, Programmable Fill Stitch
4 Sewing attribute : Density : 81

Hi I went to look up my notes that I had for some shadow letters that I had made. These letters might work for you. NB The "true type font" [Found lower down the list of fonts] can give you the line sew and region sew. Change things to suit yourself.

Also, how would I blend in some color to the design. Do I layer the new color going the same angle, or maybe the opposite. I need to make some letters that are blocky, yellow with orange at the top and bottom. Oh, why do I get myself into these projects????

You can try two options, for both you need to select the stitches you want to adjust by either using the pointer tool and clicking that stitching line/shape, or by selecting it in the stitching order then hitting cancel so that the area is selected.

You can either then click the "edit point" button (below the arrow/pointer button) and move the beginning and/or ending points (swap them if you're doing a straight (open) line - the starting point looks like a box with an arrow pointing TO it, the end point has a box with an arrow pointing AWAY from it, alternatively change the open line to a closed line, and this will force a double run) .. or you can change the stitch attributes where it says in the popup box "run times" change it to two. Hopefully one of these will work for you :) xXx

Oh those are good ideas! The tun two times might get it to do what I want to do. I have never used the Cancel option. Do you mean I can cancel some stitches I don't want there, by clicking on them in stitch order? WOW! Thanks!

No, cancel so that you make no changes to the colours, but the selection is still highlighted. If you want to delete those stitches, then press your delete key after pressing cancel.
