Hi Debra, I think of you often and hope you will have an easier time soon. It is very frustrating waiting, but take care, take each day as it comes and stay positive.
Lots of love & prayers
Elizabeth
Ah, thanks! My hip is feeling better so I am trying to get work done around here, especially outside which I hate! I love to sit out there but hate putting my hands in dirt!
wow, your patio will be lovely with the new attributes. Just try to relax and enjoy the lovely birthbath, the angels and the rest. May the angels watch over you , hugs Gerry
Thank you, we need some rain for those birdbaths, we went to a movie 4 miles away and it poured while we were in there, came home and there is not even 1/8" of water in the baths or pots! We need it bad, brown grass!
You are doing alot better now, it seems. But don't do too much. Catching up isn't what you need to be doing. Isn't there someone in the family or a neighbor or a service that can help you will your chores so you can enjoy the time that you can do things rather than to catch up on what hasn't been done? I will pray for you.
That is my problem, when I am having a good day I do too much and then the next few days are bad again. Hugs to you Yoriko!
Here is what I got on our July 13, 2012 day trip. A pensive angel, another praying one, 2 of the green oval planters and a birdbath with hummingbirds painted. Got the gnome at Walmart and the mushroom he sits on at the Hartville Flea Market in Hartville Ohio. It's a big deal around here! A groundhog knocked over the blue birdbath you see in the background and broke the bottom.
Just sitting them on my little patio to look at. We love the birds and squirrels that come to visit us there.
Debra, dear - I have been praying for you and will continue to do so - I was hoping that you have had some relief. It sounds like you have been rather busy in the last couple days. Don't over do it. I hope that the floppy hat turned out well - for your vacation - that sounds like you are planning on the beach - I do hope so. Keep us posted.
Hi! Been keeping very busy and am beat, cleaned house and did laundry, I ache but not as bad as before. Have one design on the hat so far and want to put on a couple more. Did over do it a bit. Planning on Myrtle Beach, SC. It isn't too far and I am hoping to see DeVon on the way back.
My prayers and best wishes are for you.
Thank you, exhausted, housework all day while he did nothing and now I am trying to embroider on a floppy hat for that maybe vacation and some more FSL small angels for the people at the chemo doc.
Hi Debra,
I hope you can have your beautiful lilies seperate, and how nice of your HB for the birdbath, and that you may be pain free for a long time. And don't dance the TANGO*****
Hugs Tanja
Since the lilies bloomed too soon and died off I won't transplant for a while but we had a nice drive and I work my hardest to stay awake the whole time! He fell asleep as soon as we got home! Still some pain but doing OK!
AGREED! I watch him a lot and worry he will fall asleep at stop lights, he will pull in the driveway and sit there and fall asleep, I use my remote and lock and unlock the doors to wake him up!
Hi Debra, How are you doing today, and were you able to stay awake a little more to enjoy the day?? I was wondering, with a name like Debra, how did you end up with a screenname of leenova54? Hugs, Jan
In trying to come up with an ebay name using my name in anyway I could think up I used my middle name and part of my last name and added the year I was born to the end for here. Doing OK, hubby went for a haircut and to get rid of recyclable things so I got to do some laundry without him! Found a tee he has been searching for under a stack of sweatshirts!
am getting some laundry done without him! Found a tee he has been looking for in with a pile of his sweatshirts! Sweating now but staying awake!
Debra, thinking of you & hoping that shot works pretty soon. I know this hip pain, & it's murder. I don't blame you for crying & being emotional. I do the same thing from the pain & frustration & all the "cant's" life throws my way sometimes. Have a good cry, break some old glass jars to ease frustration, and I'm still seeing you as well & happy, pain free, doing a little dance. Hugs, Marji
Yep, some days I just need to feel sorry for myself and get it over with. The hip wasn't too bad today but we took a long drive and bought cement things for the patio, 2 angels, 2 planters for the lilies to be less crowded and a birdbath I loved. Oh, picked up 2 cheap dresses and a cross!
All of my best wishes and thoughts. Hope that the pain in your hip is easing a little today ?
Feeling a bit better today but won't chance a dance, lol. We took a long drive and bought some cement things for the patio, 2 angels, 2 planters so I can separate my lilies that seem to be too crowded, AGAIN! And hubby got me a pretty birdbath with hummingbirds painted on it. It was a nice day.
So glad to hear that you were busy. It somehow helps to relieve the mind if not the pain. Hope that each day will be better !
I hope that the cortisone will work soon and gives you relief from pain. Love and hugs, Lidia
Late last year i had a bout with bursitis and they put me in hospital for 3 weeks it took them 2 weeks to work out what it was and i couldn't sit on the loo stand or lay on that side. The nurses treated me like a dog didn't believe there was anything wrong. and when they gave me the needle still had pain i ended up having brusitis at three points around the joint and they said that was unusual. i couldn't lift my leg onto the bed and one of the nurses just threw my leg up and i know your pain if your pain persists feel around the joint you can feel the exact spot that triggers the pain.Iwas in so much pain for so long that it just went into spasams. I pray you dont have it that bad and that they have got it at the right spot. i will be praying for you.
Debra: Never feel quilty for taking a nap or sleeping too long. Your body needs it. You are always in my prayers and I hope the shots give you some relief. You are a wonder through all this. Keep up the fight.
Warm Hugs Jerri
Thank you Jerri, napped a bit today, starting to think I need blood again. Pain is still here and emotions are high.
Debra, I admire your courage and spirit through such a difficult time. I will continue to pray for you. Keep going out in the sun, get that tan on you legs and do something special just for you. Let us know how the planning is coming for your August trip and where you might go.
Thank you, so far no pain relief and it has been an emotional day of tears.
Debra, sorry to hear you are in pain again. Thinking of you xx Vicki
Debra, even if I don't post, you are always in my prayers. Not knowing is just the worst! Maybe I'll just "know" for you that things are getting better every day, rest is giving you strength & letting you heal, & all will soon be as it should be. Big hugs, Marji
Good idea, we just know I am better each day and off feeling fine! We can hope that is true! Sylvester is so sweet with the rose! Thank you!
Dear Debra, I hope this injection helps to improve your quality of life and helps you to be more mobile. Rest is always a good thing when pain is imminent and will only help the healing. Lovies and best wishes.*****
Thank you. I hope I am feeling better real soon. I just sat out on the patio in the sun for about 2 hours and then I got bored so came in and did the dishes and am thinking of what I might sew.
Debra, those cortisone shots can do wonders, but they do take a while to take effects. Won't it be nice to have some relief. It's okay to have sleepy days, maybe you can take naps on the patio :-) I'm praying very specifically that today will be a happy day for you, with enough energy to enjoy life, and pain under control too.
Love from Colorado, hugs too, Jan
Doing OK so far, sat on the patio then did dishes. Want to sew something tonight I think.
Dear Debra,
I can relate, have the same problem (bursitis in the left hip) and although the cortisone injection did not work for me, docs says it is the exception, (leave it to me to be an exception LOL). I am sure this will give you some relief because the pain can be terrible, we need you to enjoy your time at the beach,
thinking of you and you are in my prayers.
hugs
Michelle
Thank you. I am sorry it didn't work for you. I have had it in my knees before and it worked wonders. Knees and hips are the worst cause when you walk and they hurt or want to buckle and make you fall it is dangerous. Since the cancer in the bones eats holes in it I can't afford to fall and have it shatter.
Hy Debora, I hope you will be free of paine very soon. Get well, I wish you all the best. Sleep and relax, that´s the best to recover
Hugs Anabela
Debra, I'll add to my prayers that this cortisone starts to work QUICKLY! If you are sleepy and it's not disturbing your nighttime sleep, then sleep. That's the only time your body heals when you are asleep and your sweet body needs to heal, so let it. Hugs!
Then I guess I better just let myself nap, lol. I always feel guilty for not doing housework and I want to get back to embroidering some things for myself before vacation! Thank you for the prayers!
I hope you made it to the beach. Blessings to you and your family. christine
The beach trip is in the planning stages and thinking of mid-late Aug. I am sure we will enjoy it when we are out of the car, hubby yells and cusses at the other drivers!
I always feel like he is yelling at me so I get upset and threaten not to go with him anymore but since I am still limited on driving I have to depend on him a bit.
You might get bold and tell him that it bothers you. He might stop for you.
Debra, cortisone injections worked wonders on getting my frozen shoulder to functioning again, along with exercises. The cortisone should help lots with your hip pain! I surely hope so! Still praying for you to have a good day, EACH day! You are an inspiration to me! Stay positive, and rest is a good healer!
Hugs, Angel
Thank you, I just continue to fight this and pray and hope and wish for the cancer to go to remission and especially for the pain to stop.
To sleep is good, the body heals, enjoy the sunshine but not too much sun, hugs S*
I just hate sleeping during the day, my house is a mess and I want to go outside, I won't get too much sun, mostly keep my legs in it and wear a hat!
Debra, I am so happy to hear that they gave you a cortisone shot and hope it will get rid of the pain. Enjoy the sunshine while sitting on the patio. Until then I will continue praying for you. HUGS
Can't wait to get my butt off the computer and eat breakfast then go sit outside, the sun is shining and it isn't too hot yet. I love to get my legs tan, they look better and I feel better when I get some sun.
Having a diagnosis for your hip pain must be a relief. The cortisone shot will start dulling the pain over the next couple days only you wish it was right away. Got to feel better for that trip to the beach. Can't imagine sitting in the car with that kind of pain.
Better bursitis than arthritis so hopefully that is what it is. I have had the shots in my knees before so am hoping this works as well as those did.
Sweetie not good to hear that you are still in pain :o( Hope that the cortisone starts soon to be effective. Like the others I think sleep is always the best for your body (that' why mine is sometimes so angry with me *lol* I'm very niggard with laying in bed :o). What's about your plans for the trip to the sea?
Hugs to you my dear, you are always in my thoughts
Bettina
PS: Just for you an example how to relax with Felix :o)
Felix looks like an angel sleeping but I have seen the other pics where he is a bundle of energy too, lol. Enjoy them while they are little. I enjoy the pics you send me. Think of you daily. Am hoping to go to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, I hear it is very nice and I have never put my feet in ocean water so I can't wait!
I agree with Sarah. Sleep is good. I hope and pray that the cortisone shot will give you some relief. Hugs Angie
Thank you. I fight not to sleep during the day but sometimes I can't help it. I sleep good at night so I don't know why I sleep in the daytime too. The shot is suppose to kick in tomorrow, hopefully it will as it seems to be easing a bit now.
You should feel an improvement before too long from the cortisone shot. When I used to get them in my back they would make me sleep the day away afterwards. Doesn't make sense as the medicine should not cause this, so maybe it was the stress of the shot. Who knows - but I do understand how you feel so wiped out right now. Hope they help you a lot so that you can enjoy the beautiful weather - if you're not over 100 like we are in Kansas. Take care of yourself and keep us posted. You are continually in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you, I hope it is gone soon, he said not to expect relief for a few days and it hurts so bad right now. I do so want to sit outside, it has been in the upper 90s here in Ohio and now finally down to upper 80s and suppose to rain on the weekend, our grass is brown so we need rain, my flowers have all died out.
Dear Debra, I had bursitis in my left shoulder, and I know how painful it is. I also had cortisone shot in it and it helped with the pain. I hope you feel better soon. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Love and hugs, Yoriko
Thank you Yoriko, the doctor is thinking this looks more like bursitis, I had cortisone shots in my knee before and boy did that hurt, in the hip it wasn't as bad but the pain isn't easing yet so we are hoping.
Sleep is good Debra. So sorry to hear that your hip is giving you so much pain. Please keep us in touch when you can. All love Sarah.
Thank you Sarah, you have always been here with a kind word for me and I do appreciate all the cuties!
You are in my prayers, and I hope there are many more days of waiting and seeing....that are also healthy and happy and free of pain and illness days!!! God is the real miracle healer!!! HUGS and Blessings!!
Thank you so much, I just try to take it one day at a time and hope each day is better.
Bless you, I admire your courage and spirit through such a difficult time. Hugs and prayers
Thank you, I try so hard to make the days good. I was at my parents' the other day and the pain got bad so I told my hubby I had to leave and I was in tears before we left so my parents were upset and worried too.
