I have collections, Cute FAQ and project instructions. I was waiting til after the change to post some of your questions and answers. LLDS!
I think tips would be good and appreciated, as long as people don't go overboard. I'd like to see posts from people who have actually discovered the tip themselves, or found it elsewhere and have actually used it successfully. You know, one of those AHA! things, where you slap your forehead and say 'why didn't I think of this sooner', hee hee hee. Guess what I'm saying is don't want everybody cutting & pasting tips from Embroidery Library or elsewhere just to make a post. But real help would be good, especially for newbies. I doubt we'll get another tab, but if the tag function were working, that would do nicely. I'll pass it on to Veronika. Hugs, Marji
Exactly Marji-you worded it better than I did-but that was what I meant-tried and try hints and tips from our own experiences
We had a lot of tips in the past and we could look for them by their tags - 'tips' in this case. Unfortunately that feature is gone but I hope we'll get it back. However, we would need some disciplined and systematic use of tags or it will be useless.
you can still use the TAG when posting and put TIPS on your question. Don't know if there is a feature to retrieve them, but at lest you can use the tag for it.
Definitely use the tag "tip" when posting, I'm hoping for that sort feature to return. Also, in the post, start with date, and Tip
Tip lists are nice, generally speaking and interesting to read. But I usually don't find a "tip list" helpful when I really need a tip! Often I can't figure out what the tip means to do or how to apply it to my particular problem. It's my old age I guess. If the tips were sorted into categories, they'd be more helpful.
I agree with you. Unfortunately I am computer literate enough to do my embroidery and not much else. Perhaps someone else would be able to divide them into categories.
well here's my tip in answer on the question about outlines of embroidery and how to hide it. Perhaps for some an old trick but perhaps new for others :)
As a new embroiderer I think that is a great idea! Thanks for suggesting it. Stella
I like that idea. What would make it even better is to be able to search thru them.
It's kind of a neat idea as long as some people don't go overboard posting what they have found on the internet-I think alot of time there are those that do constant postings for the flowers-it's amazing to me how many still seem to absess with the number they accumulate. Got any good tips?! ~linda~
I agree with you Linda, about the flower numbers. Thank you. I did mean what each Cutie has learned on her own. Not what has been gleaned from the internet. We are a very talented bunch. I know we have lots of our own tips and don't need to use the internet for any.
