Maybe I am wrong but anytime your machine (any brand) has an update it is always free even if it isn't under warranty anymore. I own 3 Vikings, 1 Phaff and 1 Bernina and have been getting them all updated since 2003 and always free. Now of course I have to pay for machines being serviced but not updates. Juanita in Missouri
some dealers will have a memory breakdown when it comes to extra free work.
Mine went for service but no mention of an upgrade, till i returned the machine the day after i had it back home
i had had a problem with the upper tension not working properly. the dealer then decided to ask for a Phaff techy to look into it. as i had had to travel over 50 miles three times i asked for a discount on some items i wanted to purchase. I got it too. IF YOU DO NOT ASK YOU MAY NOT GET. annie in the uk
IF YOU DO NOT ASK YOU MAY NOT GET.
the result is now a great machine made even better
thanks for bringing attention to this problem. i don't have a phaff, but if everyone done this with all of the brands the dealers would have sooo many less problems & we could go on with our business of stitching! thanks eggyannie
Really important, bringing it back to the top. Thanks for the info, Annie, especially the reminder to ask for the upgrades as warranty work, big money saver if you have this machine. Hugs, Marji
