Can someone tell me why my designs have bobbin thread showing up on the top? I have tried adjusting tension and cleaned my machine but to no good.Heirloom designs are a disaster with this problem.

Rewind your bobbin if plastic try another new one and rethread your machine..Works for me.

First set the top thread tension lower so the top thread isn't pulling on the bobbin thread so much and bringing it to the top.
Do this when the pressure foot is up so the top thread tension disc is open. Test stitch to see if that helps.

Make sure to clean all the bobbin area and run a piece of regular sewing thread through the thread tension on the bobbin case as this will clean out any bits of thread of lint built up in the tension which could cause the bobbin thread not to sit in the bobbin tension right.

When you adjusted the tension, did you adjust the bobbin tension as well as the top?

Try more stabilizer. If it is a dense design you need more stbilizer. Also try switching thread and bobbin. Sometimes there is a bur on the bobbin you can not see or sometimes there is something wrong with the thread. I have had that happen to me. It was the thread all along. As soon as I changed brands and rethreaded it worked like a charm. make sure you disassemble the whole bobbin case to clen it out sometimes there is a small piece of thread caught someplace. Hope this helps.. Suzanne

Sometimes it can just be a little loose thread in the bobbin case, it's amazing what it will cause, give the case a thorough clean and push the tip of some paper along the slits. It's worth a try my pr1000 just hates any loose threads in this area.
