We all did our part today in honour of Madiba. Happy birthday Tata. May God bless you with many more healthy years to come.*** Susie, Durban.
We all gathered outside this morning at 8am and sang happy birthdy to Madiba. It is another one of those moments, dispite our troubled history, when as a nation we have come together as one to celebrate the birthday of our Tata. I am proud to be South African. We have all pledged 67 minutes of our time today to do community service..assist where possible in what ever way we are able. This is to highlight the work Mandela has done and continues to do in our country.
Bless you Madiba!! Viva
God Bless that man such a wonderfull caring person who deserved a longer life but if he had not died then perhaps things would not have turned out as they have.
one gun shot that was heard all around the world
he has left a wonderfull legacy for his people and for peace
such love that he laid down his own life for others just as the lord did.

Hi Annie, Madiba is very much alive and still does so much for the people of this country that he loves. God Bless him every day.
Madiba is having his birthday in private, with only a few guests and his family in his hometown. He is living a very quite life and is still an icon in South Africa and the whole world. May his wisdom be inherited by those who ae going to lead the country after the new elections.
why did i have the great Martin Luther King on my mind when i wrote this so sorry it was a grey hair day
hope you all have a lovely day, And Nelson Mandela in special.
I'm sure he is looking down and feeling proud that his work is still be carried on. Watched a couple interviews after he was released and felt he was a very gracious person.
Bill Clinton visited Madiba yesterday at his homestead in the Eastern Cape.
Sing Nelson Mandela a happy birthday for me, too! I so admire him, and Desmond Tutu as well. Mandela has truly overcome so many things, I cried when he was finally released from prison. Even here in the USA, some of us care very much for our freedom fighters all over the world. Big hugs, Marji
