Thankyou for your input on dust covers,i have started on one for my over-locker. I will have to put my thinking cap on to get the shape to fit neatly on the Hus embroidery machine.

I have the hard shell type, they only go on in the car,the rest of the time they just seem to get under foot.

I have not made one, but I am not sure I would use it, my machine is always busy. Cindy B

Yes, all three of my sewing machines have matching covers made from recycled denim with their "name" (as in brand & model number) embroidered on them :) xXx

This is on my to do list...matching covers for my "machines". Currently, I have some pretty king size shams covering them, and since they look "ok", I have not been in a hurry to get onto that project!

Before I thought of the shams, I had bath towels over them! Kept them clean!

When i buy pretty fabric i drape it over the top.

Yep, first thing I stitched with the new machine, it's primitive because regular sewing isn't my fortay, but it is a custom fit and protects it from the cat hair!!

Oooo., yes I have .. I made mine about 3 weeks ago.
I measured and made it to fit my emb machine perfectly,
& I embroidered it with sunbonnet sewing girls - very cute.

I plan to make one for my other machine + my two overlockers... making them all to match.

Should look great in my sewing room when I get around to sewing the others :)

Thanks heather.
Thats two down & two to go (overlockers next)
It's certainly a fun way to use designs.

I have. I just measured the machine and cut. Of course I also embroidered each cover. I do need to make another one though. But I have been having so much fun, I had never gotten around to making one for my latest machine.

I made matching ones for my overlocker and the 9000 Janome when I owned one. That is now too small for my 11000 and has been passed down to my other small non embroidery Janome. I have not got any more of the same fabric so the 11000 just gets covered with a towel folded in half. Does the job. Shirley

Well, since I am lazy I use pretty hand towels (with a design on them) (from Wal-Mart) on all my machines. Spent my time sewing patchwork quilt pieces together as I'm more into quilting. Juanita

Cut them out for all of my machines years ago, even put a design on what were to be the fronts and they are still waiting with other UFOs. Best of luck to you in being faster. There are great ones people have done, especially those using lots of decorative stitching from their machines.

As much as i try not to have UFOs,they do find a corner in my sewing room.
