Maybe Tip.... I am so upset with myself.. took my eyes off a project for a few minutes and the embroidery machine mess up and fabric fell into embroidery area and ate the shirt.. darn, darn, darn.. good thing I had another shirt.. so I used scotch tape to hold back all the area of the shirt, really seems to be working great.. anyone else use tape to hold fabric out of harm way..

Sorry for your troubles, but it is a good reminder. I use some large plastic clip-type clothespins, or potato chip bag clips, or pins, tape, whatever is handy. But I dare not leave the machine if it's sewing, because my little cat Lucy-Furr is so darned nosy, she'll get up there and get her paw sewn onto the shirt! This is a picture of my little Lucy, you can just see the mischief in her eyes. Hugs, Marji

I have been using Chip Clips to hold the rest of the shirt out of the way - so far so good.

I keep a roll of masking tape and scotch tape in my supplies.

I HATE that when it happens! grrrrrr I've been using kitchen clips to hold back the fabrics. I'm sorry it happened to you too!

Kathy, great TIP - I have never used tape - I generally use pins to secure my shirts done and lots of them - the tape would be a great change. So sorry to hear that you have difficulty but that you had another shirt to use.

My machine behaves but if I leave thats when it acts up. Yes I use tape and or pins depending because I detest the adhesive spray.

same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. Bought a black T-shirt, wanted to sew a very nice design on in and in the middle...it got jamed..Nothing else left for me to cut the T-shirt loose..Now I have an unfinished design and a T-Shirt with a hole in it..Don't know what to do..Probably keep it as a test fabric?
