Haven't tried this yet but you can bet I will. Thanks for the tip.
I use those all the time. I purchased a paint roller with an extention handle ) at the Dollar Tree ) and place two lint rolls on the paint roller and use to roll on the floor to pick up threads and pins. ( I also have a magnet for the pins.) A flower for you.
I also use a piece of fleece fabric in front of the machine. When I'm through stitching, I shake it out in the garbage. It won't collect all of the threads but it sure cuts down on them.
Have 2 or 3 handing around for that purpose also one with ironing board. but like dkjack idea for the lamp shade bit. I have a pleated one always full of junk.
Great idea! I use one all the time on my lampshades. Never thought of using it in the sewing room. :)
now thats an idea! thanks for sharing...... it had never occured to this small brain of mine blushes blushes you deserve a bunch of flowers dlonna******
I use mine constantly. But, Yikes, It thankfully doesn't pull out any threads!;)
I do and it comes in so handy collecting those run away threads
I have not understand what is a lint roller? Pick means "rassembler" and pull out :"arracher". Does that lint roller serve to remove threads. Your advice seems very interessting if you can explain me
a roller with a handle. The roller has sticky tear papers which will collect lint. When all the sticky is gone and roller is covered with threads and such then tear off a section of the paper, throw that one away and then you have a all new surface to collect the threads and such. Hope this helped.
So this lint roller is used tocollect treads who are already cut? Is it teh same object whitch is used to remove dog hair or dust from a skirt or a dress?
Thanks Pafhen -I was wondering the same. This is those words that my dictionary can`t help. Thanks again Pafhen your explaining was very good- now I understood. *4U
I do. Use it to pick up all those tiny bits of thread and clean my cutting mat as well. Had to undo a serger seam my daughter made (she'd rather throw the whole garment half finished in the trash than unpick the seam) and that produced quite a bit of little threads. Handy tool! *4U
Oh yes - i feel about like your daughter - I knew you probably knew of this. I get mine a Dollar Tree, and have a few around. I caught my younger DG using it to clean the sewing room floor - that one is not much good anymore. LOL
Thanks for a very helpful tip. I shall go out a get myself one for that very purpose. *4U
