Happens all the time. Let us hope that we get the EDIT button back. Sarah.
My Dad was a teacher, and had a sign on his desk that said "Everybody Makes Misteaks", hee hee hee. Funny thing was, half the kids, even 30 years ago, didn't know it was a joke. My excuse is that I type 80 wpm, and I usually have a couple of darn cats helping me type. My black Manx, Inky, has thumbs on his big feet, and he lies on my lap and that foot insists on getting on the touchpad. Sometimes he erases what I've written, sometimes he submits it before the end. SaraJane just walks all over the keyboard, what a mess that can be. She can't spell worth a darn. Don't worry about the spelling, or leaving things out. I've got my fingers crossed that we're going to get the "edit" feature back, because the mistakes don't seem to show up until you hit that 'submit' button. Just keep on typing, we'll figure it out. I hadn't thought about what mops said, though, people who must use a translation program could be thoroughly confused, because those programs can make a hash of perfectly spelled grammatically correct English. Do your best, it's the best you can do! Hugs, Marji
Yho knfo tjht ebruime miles mosskles wken tipkng? Love Chris
(You know that everyone makes mistakes when typing?)
Even the best typist make mistakes and the site no longer lets us edit our posts. We all understand so don't worry about it, there is enough to worry about without adding our typos to it. Smile!
More than I like!! Crazy fingers!! I wish they knew the right keys!!
I think we all have done that! We use to have an edit feature for that but we lost it with the last update. Maybe it will return. I would worry about it most of us do fine filling in the blanks! Keeps us on our toes!(thinking)
I do it too and I don't see my mistakes when proofreading. Mistakes don't seem to matter as I can always figure out what people mean. If not, I just ask a question!
We all do this occassionally. It's hard to proofread your own notes as you read what you think you wrote! ps-I read this about 5 times before hitting submit!!
All the time. I try to read before clicking submit but still miss some errors. You are not alone. Shirley
I do it all the time. My mind runs faster than my fingers. Hugs Joyce
My right pinkie finger is bent at a 90° angle due to my RH, and that sure makes for some creative spelling!
Tha is becaus our brain are workin faste than our hand...... (MY excuse!)
Yes, just noticed I have left out the final t in right in an answer I gave this morning. And that's not the first typo. :(
And I'm very sorry for those who rely on a translation program to read the posts here. It can play havoc with the meaning, as does mixing up to, too and two (which is so easy to do when typing, hardly ever happens when writing), to name just one example, or using sew for so.
I'll add my apology there too - I seem to type the letter next to the one I'm aiming for. Of course, I don't notice until I click din,oy.
