What a terrifying ordeal. So pleased that your daughter is OK. It will probably take your daughter a while to get over the shock. A bit of TLC required I think. Hugs Sarah.
Oh deer! I'm glad your daughter was not injured. I t must have been an awful fright for her. Hugs Shirley
Thank God that it is only the car that vot damaged, and you still have your daughter with you. Life can chance so dramatically in just few seconds of you life. Just a pitty for the deer of course. How is your daughter doing ? Still a bit in a shock ?
I agree. It is only a car. She is alive and still rattled, but OK. It hit right in front of her, so things could have turned out so much worse!!
So glad your daughter was not injured. I have to watch for deer everytime I leave or return from my house as they are well populated in our area. I have had a few close calls but have not hit one yet. Juanita in Missouri
My goodness how fortunate she was!!!! I am thankful that she was protected.;)
Your daughter is so incredibly fortunate that she escaped serious harm. My DH hit a deer going 60 mph in my jeep and with it being a sturdier vehicle only cost a little under $4,000 to repair. We only had to pay the deductible. There was an on coming car so he had no choice but to hold the car steady and brace for the impact. It took him about a half hour for him to tell me my car was damaged. He did get some cuts and was sore for a few days. We live in the Blue Ridge Mountains and with most areas posted as no hunting the deer populations has multiplied. I was driving a jeep before this one and saw a deer so I slammed on the breaks and it slid across the front bumper and only left some fur. It's like living in a neighborhood full of kids playing in the streets you have to be very aware that they are around.
So very true. I'm glad that nothing worse happened with you. I had liability-only insurance, so am stuck having to replace the car on my own.
I just had a call from Animal Control when they came to retrieve the body. It wasn't a deer. It was an elk, about 800 pounds. It was so dark that we couldn't see the whole thing last night.
Glad your daughter was ok. Scary experience!
Thank you. I don't know how she made it out alive, let alone without injuries. She won't be driving for a while; she will be too scared.
Wow, it was most certainly a miracle!!!! Thank goodness your daughter has no severe injuries, she is indeed very fortunate.
Whew! I bet that was a shock. Time to get a new car. so glad she is OK, too bad for the deer. Live Laugh Download Stitch!
I am so glad she is OK. I used to work in a auto-body shop and I was always amazed seeing the damage from hitting a deer. I am so glad the outcome was a good one for your daughter. Not so much for the deer.
Thank you. My husband wants me to see if I can get the car fixed. I don't know if I'll be able to or not.
So scary! Very glad your daughter is OK! Hitting a deer is easy to do with the way they move and it is more dangerous to the driver to try and avoid the deer cause they could hit a tree or another car or anything. As for the air bags, did not know that so thanks for the tip.
My SIL was driving a dodge caravan in colorado and
hit a deer and totalled her car too. No injuries to her but the deer died. It is an issue in rural parts
the animals can't read the signs. Thank goodness she is okay but I bet rattled. I had a bird hit my windshield on the freeway and that rattled me for days.
Hugs

I know, right? She was far more upset about the animal than the car. We have a lot of night time animals here.
One of our neighbors got "run over", literally, with a deer. It went up the front of their caravan and off the back.
I agree with Joyce, her guardian angel was with her. Thanks to God.
It is a miracle she sure had an angel of god looking after her tonight.
I did not know this about the air bags I just took it for granted that any bump to the car would set them off. Hugs to you all. Joyce
She did have her angel. I'm so glad she walked away from this. She might not have been found till morning otherwise, due to the low traffic.
We've never had an air bag deploy. I think they are false security.
Thank goodness for her safe 'out' of this!! She definately had an Angel watching over her!
