Welcome! I'm pretty new here too. Every Forum has its own quirks. "Searching" has always been tricky for me. Someone posted how to search a few days back that helps a lot. Some changes are going to be made and hopefully things that were a little confusing will go more smoothly.

I think you just have to go throigh page by page until you find them. Thats what i do.

I have a folder in my favorite bookmarks just for cute and there I store my posts and also my projects (hope there is no need after the announced changes ;o).
