CONGRATULATIONS on the new machine - I think it is great that you have a good repairman and I also think you should keep both machines - it is always nice to have a second to do whatever you want - when one is on a big design that takes some time. Have fun and please share some items you have made in the PROJECT section soon.
It is always nice to have a back-up machine or just an extra so you do not have to remove the embroidery unit! Congratulations on your new "baby." What are you going to name "her?" :>)
Congratulations on making Santa's 'Naughty List' LOL. Glad to hear you have an encouraging husband who is happy for you to keep the other. He knows how to stay in favour :) Enjoy your new toy when it arrives.
I have a Janome MC 350E and that brother machine. I love the brother cause she never desert you (and the Janome is a real diva with much attitude!). To change the bobbin is so much easier on the brother even the thread. On the other hand the display is coarse-grained in comparision to the Janome (like watching pac-man vs. World of warcraft ;o). Most of the time I have my embird on my screen open so I can see which color comes next. The connection between hoop and machine is fantastic (the Janome is just fixed at a single point; bad if you have to take the hoop off and back again). So enjoy this machine you will have much fun with it :o)
Greetings, Bettina
I have that one. I too wanted a bigger hoop. got it off of ebay new still boxed at a fantastic price.
very pleased with it. no directed link to computer, but it takes a usb stick. and cards,it takes all the pes files that I had for my little 4x4, I can not change the speed, or the tention but that has not been a problem so far.
Hugs Pam.
My first machine was the 750D (which has Disney - and the E would not). It is a very nice machine - I did nearly 4 million stitches on it in a year. I did keep it as a backup - they don't give you much on trade in and I did not have any luck trying to sell it for a reasonable price on Craigs List so now I have two!
I have a brother and it is a work horse you to will enjoy this one hugszzzzzzzzzz
Thank's once again for your quick replies this forum is just great for answering questions so quickly
I wasn't sure what machine to go for, don't think I would use it for very large designs I think the 5x7 will be big enough just wanted a reliable machine
I read some where that I should use bobbin thread count (90) does any one know best place where to buy this from here in the UK? and what make of embroidery thread is the best to use for the 'Brother Innov-is 750E?
I don't know about the UK, but I always use the bobbin thread, or it's also called "lingerie" thread, the 90 wt. It keeps the designs more supple, and also you can get much more on the bobbin, more stitches before it runs out.
Thanks for the info to be save after jamming up my Brother pe150 I have ordered bobbin thread from Brother i'M a bit paranoid now as I think it might be using wrong bobbin thread that jammed up the machine
I had an Australian 750D & loved it. I assume it's similar to your 750E. Only sold him cause I upgraded. I put almost 9 million stitches on him in 12 months. He had no problems with thick towels to fine fsl. A real work horse, I was sad to see him go. I am on my 4th Brother machine (upgraded each time) and will always stay with Brother. Hope this helps. Lyn. xx
PS - I agree with your Hubby. Keep the other one. It's great to have a back up. xx
I think you may LOVE having 2 machines. Live Laugh Download Stitch!
I hope you get to keep your machine that is in for repairs. I agree with with toet. I love having a back up machine. Sorry I can't help you with do's and don't's.
I like having a back up machine, when one is in at the doctors you can still play. Have fun with your new machine.cheers
This is a factory refurbished machine should be like new and still be guaranteed.
Do you think I have made the right choice? I was after a reliable embroidery machine that would sew designs 4x4 and 5x7 for mainly tee shirts and for cards and small picture frames
