If you are curious as to whether you want to own a book (any book), check it out at the local library first. Then you'll know whether or not it is worth the money to add it to your collection.

And if anyone runs across a site that helps with sergers, that would be fantastic!!!

The Serger book that I use is by Chris James. the publisher is Sterling Press. The front cover shows a 4 cone serger. Send me an email if you wish.

Her books are ok...but I would never pay that price when you can get the same info on line..... or go to a used book store or even Amazon. com and get them cheaper.
I have a whole collection of her books and can honestly say I've never used them enough for them to pay for themselves.

Do not have any of her serger books but I do have several of her sewing books and they are great. I would imagine her serger books would be also. You do know she is on PBS on Saturdays don't you?/Lillian

I would like to take mine to new levels also!!!!!!! I spent 4 hrs one day this week trying to get it going again. The level I would like to take mine if to the bottom of the trash dumpster or the bottom of the ocean! hehehe Of course I was not laughing when I was trying to get it running the first of the week.

I haven't used the sergerbooks but have all of her sewing books and they are wonderful so I assume the serger ones would be also. If you check out her web site & blog you might find some of the serger programs.

You must have a 5 thread machine. I have all her shows recorded and Wow! what she can do with a serger. I need to brush mine off and get some hemming done.

I have a 4 thread and have had it for quite awhile but I see her do so many more things with hers than I have done with mine, she has a 80.00 set of serger books that I have been thinking about but thats alot of money if they aren't worth it.

If you have not had a serger before they could be helpful, just the basic steps, the singer books were much more in-depth don't know if still can get them.

I did when I got my serger many moons ago. I feel that I have learned much more from searching the web and going to youtube.com. Some people like having the books handy to referance but I find once you do something on the serger you remember. Her books just take you through the basics which I find I can get on the internet. Hope this helps you.
